Thank you for posting this, though it is very sad it shows the indomitable spirit of a chow. I have often felt that many of the difficulties we go through with our furry friends are mirror images of our own life. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that it took Bramble injuring her knees to make me start to take care of my own injured knee. I am a slow learner.

A beautiful story.

Well that made me cry buckets!! I remembered when my dear sweet MoMo was hit by a car and didn't make it.

In it's own way it reminded me when my beautiful Cheyenne joined JR and I. She was a very sad and abused little girl.
Shortly thereafter my life changed drastically and everything kept going from bad to worse. But JR and I took Cheyenne under our wings and taught her to love and be loved and she has turned out to be the most wonderful Chowgirl.

Both JR and Cheyenne have taught me LOVE!!! They are the light of my life.

Ok, I just had to read ALL the stories.
How can anyone doubt that a dog is the best family member you will ever have?
And, a chow, even more so.

I love this book! I volunteer for an animal rescue called "Underdog ResQ" and I was given the book by the founder of the organization at a charity event we had... it is just wonderful. I save it for those "UGHHHH" days and each time I tear-up and have to put it back down. The stories are amazing. I'm glad everyone liked it! I agree, this little lady certain had an incredible Chow mentality.
