Cheyenne and a towel
When my dear sweet Cheyenne was 1st rescued and such a mess, I went to wipe her with a towel after it had rained and she ran like the dickens and started to shake really badly.
Since she had been abused for almost 4 years I figured that she must have been hit with a towel.
And even though 3 1/2 years later she has turned into the most wonderful Chow girl...a towel was still an issue.
Last night it was raining constantly but fairly warm and my stubborn girl decided that she wanted to sit in the rain for a couple of hours and wouldn't come in. When she finally did come in she STUNK...and was pretty wet.
So I got two towels and went over to her and she sat like a little angel and let me rub her down and dry her off and she didn't utter a peep and then licked my hand.
I know that she trusts and loves me so much but now I know that it is complete.
Of course her bratty dear old brother JR had to be wiped down also even though he was smart enough to stay inside. Equal treatment for both my "babies"
What would I do without JR and Cheyennne????

AWW I think that is the ultimate sign of love. She has clearly been terrifed of towels and now she knows she won't be hurt again. What a great moment.

I wish our Shiloh could get past the sound of rattling keys. She will be 6 next year and we have had her since ~ 3 months and the sound of rattling keys still petrifies her .
Glad to hear that Cheyenne has overcome her fears of the towel
