Oh My, What is that in the Sky??

So Butters has been on serious sky watch as of late. Chows just make me smile. I never see any others dogs watching the sky. He will chase birds as they fly over the backyard. He will watch the power lines for those pesky squirrels. He has even been on the look-out for a blimp that sometimes advertises several blocks from the house. (The blimp he can spot from out the kitchen window). Even has checked out the kites at the park.

But yesterday he was barking like mad. I went out to see what he was barking at. He was standing on our backporch head up barking. Turns out a jet was flying overhead. And he actually barked until the jet (and it;s tracks) disappeared.

A chow is always on guard!! Their is officially no place that is safe to attack from!! Even the sky is guarded!!

LOL you should feel very safe with Butters there to protect you from air attack

Glad Kearra & Kyra don't guard the sky since we live by a Naval Airforce Base.....the jets fly over daily....the dh calls it the Sound Of Freedom, would hate to add 2 Chows barking to go with that

Cheyenne does the same thing.She honestly seems to thin she can cath birds and flying squirrels.
Don't know what she'd do if she accidentally caught one.
(A couple of weeks ago when it was really cold,she kept on sniffing a small cardboard box (without a top)by the back door.After a couple of days I finally realized she was paying a little too much attention to it,so I looked inside.There was a little Pine Warbler in there,must have frozen to death.
I was amazed she didn't try to eat it.)
