Look at Alf!

Look at Alf!
Now, i know that this may not seem much to a lot to most people but Alfonse jumped onto the sofa the other night! He has NEVER managed to jump on anything bigger than a rock since he first started limping at about 4.5months old Since his diagnosis, I have been very worried about him, the ortho vet didn't give a good prognosis.... Infact, he cautioned me to think about 'how many $$$$ I wanted to throw at this puppy'. Since his op, Alf has done great, everyone has been suprised and pleased with his progression too; no limp, longer walks, not asking to be carried up the stairs at night, playing with Millie & other dogs, now jumping on the sofa!!!! I'm so happy for my little guy, especially as he didn't even seem to notice he'd done anything special at all... just chasing my toy Mama
I'm so very proud of him, silly huh

It's those little things we notice the gives us some relielf as in Pheww things are looking up, no matter how minor it is, Not even a vet can see the things we do when our Chows are feeling better.

Thanks guys! Most people think I'm mental when I say I'm pleased Alf is jumping on the furniture As Millie knows, I only bought the sofa for them to be on He's such a brave little guy, only ever wimpered once after his surgery when he was trying to 'assume the position' for a poop. Bless him, I have the bone chips they removed from his hock joints, I'd have been creating a real storm over those in my ankle joints
He's far from little these days Janet.. He pretty sure he's a lap dog though, just looooooves to snuggle .... unless there's trouble to be getting into

Re: Look at Alf!
Ahh layla that is wonderful news!! I remember after Butters had his hip done the first time he jumped up on the couch. DH and I were so excited. I dont' think it is silly at all. It means they are feeling better and enough to explore!!!!! Way to go Alf.
SweetPea Rocks!!
Re: Look at Alf!
No, not silly at all. Sweet Alf.
Re: Look at Alf!
I guess that just goes to show the vets don't know everything! I'm glad Alf is doing so well!

Re: Look at Alf!
How wonderful that Alf is getting better. He is such a cutie. I can't believe the ortho vet asked you to think about how much $$$$ it would cost you. And look at Alf now $$$$ well spent, eh?!
Re: Look at Alf!
Good boy Alfie!! You jump on that sofa little man - show you mama that she doesn't ahve to worry about you!
Re: Look at Alf!
Good job Alfonso Keep this way jump and run
By the way Mishka doesn't like to be on a sofa, he prefers sold surfaces. He jumps there only to steal something.

Re: Look at Alf!
Alf, That is fantastic! What an amazing recovery, little boy! So, Alf, what toy were you chasing? Millie? When are you coming to visit me? Hugs and scrithes to you, my boy.
Layla, so nice of you to buy the fluffies a couch. Not quite as nice as Lychee's mommy buying her a new car, but very nice.

Re: Look at Alf!
Layla, that's great little Alfie is doing so well! He wouldn't be up on the couch standing like that if he didn't feel good!
Re: Look at Alf!
Miz Layla,
Did you have Alf with you in Ireland when he started jumping on couches?
Gee, guess it could not have anything to do with visits to Canada or diet could it?
Cuddles to both the four footers!
