Tippsy shocks me sometimes.

Post by Tippsy'smom »

Ok, so this morning I got up for the 6:30 bathroom run for Tippsy. And we get out in the front yard and she isn't even bothing to look for a spot to do her business, she keeps sniffing the bushes. Come to find out one of the neighborhood dogs had been in our yard. He's a fairly resent arrival been around for about a month or 2. But what I hadn't realized is that he was still close by... SHe comes running over from our neighbors yard and stops on the driveway(he looks like a black lab but with long hair...) As soon as Tippsy turns her attention to him he ran off to my 10th grade English teacher's yard and stops. And Tippsy wasn't gonna stop trying to chase him off so she's sitting there barking and carrying on, even after he was gone, but she did finally potty and I got to go back to sleep. But now every time I take her out there she looks for him and she wants to go up the street to look for him. So now I'm not even trying to take her out to see my uncle, who is cutting down 2 trees in our yard that are dead... Oh well, he'll probably come in anyways.

I really wanna know this though... Why won't she drop the issue?

'Cause she's like you? lol. Honestly, I'm just kidding with that one.
Maybe 'cause it's a dog she doesn't know? He violated her territory, and she isn't happy with it. Just a wild guess on my part.

But it's 10:50, now... and she's still looking for him... /:) I know she hasn't met him before but I'm just not understanding why she thinks this is so important.

Good point. I'm kind of reluctant to walk her past the dog's house now, because I don't want her to pick a fight or anything. :?

UGH! Ok, big mistake... Me and my dad  were walking Tippsy tonight and we bumped into the dog. #-o He was just sitting there on his driveway, lookin' like he was gonna rollover into a submissive posture but couldn't quite get his body to move. Tippsy started snarling at him. I told her know and pulled her another 10 feet away from him.
I feel bad for the poor dog. He's so scared of her. And she's being a real bully, which is REALLY odd for her... :? IDk what her deal is.

Hey Cherie! Yeah, she was. lol. Of course I don't think she really needed to be, but she can act silly sometimes. What can I do? She cares.

Brandy generally ignores other dogs when they bark or growl at her, but ... if they act afraid, she seems to pick up on that and growls at them! Go figure - the chow mind at work, I guess!
