We picked our puppy today!

Hey everyone,

I had a couple posts, one was "chow puppy on hold" and another was "calling all blues"....

Anyway today we went to visit the chow pups and made our decision and layed a deposit down! Drum roll please....

After much debate and the final deciding factor, a coin toss...we are getting the BLUE chow baby! I really wanted the red girl, but my oldest daughter fell in love with the blue and I couldn't say no! We will be going back to see her next weekend as well. I will post pictures of her tomorrow for now I am heading off line...

Can anyone find me any good sites with 'unique dog names' ... I am looking for a site with maybe Hawaiian, Chinese, or Native names and meanings. So far I really love Kuma, Mitsu, or Kina.

Congrates!! I'm so excited for you and your family. It has been a long time since Neeko was a puppy, but I still remember how cute he was, and how much fun we had with his crazy idea of games..LOL. He may be 12 now but there are times when he can still act like a puppy, just show him a ball and he's all puppy again . Good luck with your new addition to the family.

WHen I was trying to pick names I just did a google search for dog names. Tons of sites popped up and many had chinese names or certain categories.

kuma- bear in chinese

kina- china in chinese

mitsu- native american for Bear

Pea- "peh'ah" - bear in Hawaiian

Meli-"meh'lee" honey in hawaiian

Sula- little bear by the water - hawaiian

I am pretty sure our baby's name will be SULA meaning "little bear by the water"-Hawaiian. I'm just waiting til we go visit her again on the weekend to decide.

I put my vote in for Sula, that is original, and if you consider the fact she is blue the reflection (normally) of water, I think it fits her.
