What is it about Chows?

Post by bama »

Mark here,
My dad has NEVER been much of a dog lover. We always had cats when I was a kid. But as we know, Chow are VERY different from dogs.
This weekend we were out of town and we got my dad to sit the Colonel. Well, my dad is an old dog and he learned a new trick.
He loves to sit Colonel. Dad enjoys taking him for walks and likes how Colonel will sit quietly while he watches TV. They are like old buddies now.
But then, how can someone not fall in love with a Chow?

you know what I think? Chows are more like cats than dogs in terms of personality! They even look like small lions...the way they use their paws to get something closer to them sometimes looks just like a cat grabbing something! I think your dad loves Colonel because of his "catty" qualities...thats why I chose a Chow for a pet!!!! :D

There are some cat characteristics of chows. Colonel is not too demanding. He will just sit in the same room with you and be quite. But, he is always aware of what is going on and ready to do something with you.

Another Chow victory! Good job, Colonel.

But, I gotta go with Mally. It's the old "cat in a bear suit" trick.
