Wow, he's huge! I think that is the biggest chow I have ever seen! Just more fur to love I say! I'd hug him all day, every day. Thanks yes he has a good life so does his sister and 2 other brothers..Kodi is over 100 lbs and not Fat ...lol...But he is very tall too he is over 26 inches at the shoulder...

Well Kodi in my Sig picture is from chow chow rescue of NY he is a great Boy...we got him at 7 weeks old...she gets pups all the time...yes i understand there are no guarantees on health problems...but you know like you said there isnt any if you buy one either...I think of it this way..your saving ...

EVER dog does the shake thing...our Collie does it our Airedale does it...and of course our chows...its not a CHOW thing....now our chows we have live with 6 cats..yes they were brought up with them so im sure thats why they do plus we taught them to be gentle with them as pups...as far if an stray ...

what we did was teach them NO BITE...either we would take our thumb and hold her mouth/tongue and say no bite...or give them a little tap on the nose NO bite ...it worked for us...

Kodi at 7 weeks old was 10 lbs Kodi at 10 weeks old was 15lbs...at 12 weeks he was 22lbs at 18 weeks Kodi was 37 lbs.this is from our vet records...we have kept good records..lol.....He will be 3 on May 3rd..he is 100 lbs...so far...still gaining...Oh yeah I don't know what calculator you looked at ...

good thing i saw this thread. my chow had his latest vet visit and he weighed 12 kg from 9.6 3 weeks around 3 weeks ago. i thought he gained too much weight for a 4 month puppy. but reading almost all posts here i realized it's quite normal. :o To give you an example Kodi was 40ish pounds at 4 mont...

I dont see why so many peopel have RECAL issues with there Chows...Ours come right to us when called...at the Dog park...or anywhere for that matter...When i come home form work my wife lets our chows come run out to meet me by the truck..the dont leave our property...if i say go to the porch they g...

Well to be honest with you its not Just Pits you know...any dog can turn at any second...the most gentle dog can turn on you or another dog...so please i dont want to hear this crap about Pits,being so bad so mean there so bad of a dog...NO its the owner and owners fault most times they didnt train ...

Our Female Chow is between 53-55 lbs...and stands about 21 inches at the shoulders...Now Our Male chow he is a BIG boy stands 26 inches at the shoulders and weighs 100 lbs and still filling out he will be 3 yrs old in May...I think he will settle out like 105-107 lbs or so maybe more.....Now I see a...

Well Kodi eats 2 cups of Kibble mixed with cooked food... he gets taste of the wild, or 4 health brand Beef and Potato..Now sit down..he gets cooked chicken,beef liver,beef heart,Kidney,chicken livers,we give him oatmeal..he gets a tablespoon of coconut oil so all together he gets about 4-1/2 to 5 c...

I cant see pictures im at work there blocked Why not surgery?...Our Female chow at just 2 yrs old was diagnosed with Bad Hip dysplasia and Arthitus in BOTH her hips...we took her to a specialist that recommended FHO surgey..she just turned 3 this Dec she had the surgey done last Feb...she is runs..p...

Yes our dogs get it ever day...I think chicken and Beef liver cooked will not be bad for either dog...it has a lot of protein and nutrition..You can look up whats called a raw food diest we modified it with cooked foods OF course no Bones....are eaten....lol
