I had to re-think and change a few things since Whitby is here. last year all the decorating was done when she arrived and she was just getting used to her new home with me. This Christmas is another story. I have a collection of small vintag...

Hi Judy
Happy, Happy Birthday! Loved the picture of you and your granddaughter with the catapillar cake. My grandaughter has a big catapillar stuffed animal that she favors and it has to ride with her when she is in my car.
Wishing you many, many more birthdays!

Re: May Wally Rest In Peace
My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this sad time. People often say they know how you feel but they really don’t. I do know how you feel as I lost my beloved 15 yr old Chloe roughly 2 years ago. Even though Wally my be gone from you physically he’ll always hold a special place in your heart and...

Happy Thanksgiving!
To all of our members who live in the United States I want to wish all of you a Happy/Blessed Thanksgiving. I know all of us have things that we are thankful for. At the top of my list of things I’m thankful for are: my dad who will turn 90 in December, my one and only grandchild, Elyse, who is 4 ½ ...

Re: Children's minds!
The following has been muddled in my mind for roughly 60 years. I grew up in the country and from time to time people would drop cats off along the dirt road that ran by our home. Now and then one of the cats would find its way to our home. When we were small children we’d ask our dad it if was a bo...

Whitby gets neighbor's vote!
Here is an antidote to my post “A Run for My Money” I went to vote before I went to work and was there before the door opened. One of my neighbors was closer to the front of the line and he turned around, saw me and started chatting. He asked if Whitby has chased any more cats lately. He then told m...

Re: A Run for My Money!
Here is some behind the scenes and inside info regarding my post. Whitby is 7 yrs. old and has been through a lot. Prior to me rescuing Whitby last December her original owner had died 3 yrs ago. Whitby was bounced between several homes and states, being kept both inside or outside depending who had...

How precious! Enjoy your times together!
I've been there and done that with surgeries myself. Not fun.
Take care of yourself and follow what your doctors say.
Wishing you well

A Run for My Money!
I live in Pennsylvania and on Sunday I was preparing as best I could for “Hurricane Sandy”. I had just brought Whitby in from a long walk and decided to bring in the chairs off of my patio. I had fixed the closer on the storm door so it would stay open as I carried the chairs in. Whitby was up on th...

Heart Stopping Moment!
I had one of those heart stopping moments yesterday. My 4 yr. old granddaughter & I took Whitby for a walk and I hooked her up to her tie-out leash when we got back. We went into the house for a little bit. A short time later we went back outside and as I walked around to the back of the house I...

Which Direction?
I'm confused :? - but then I think I was born in the state of Confusion. When grooming - should I brush from the "tailfeathers" towards the neck or from the neck towards to "tailfeathers"? The groomer I had for my beloved Chloe told me one direction and the groomer I now have for...

It's Conga Time!
I babysit my 4 year old granddaughter, Elyse, several evenings a week while her mom is at work. We always take Whiby for nice long walks. Unfortunately Whitby is a “puller” so I use a gentle leader along with her leash plus she does not like cats. When it’s time for a walk Elyse helps me (?) put Whi...

Congrats on your new furbaby. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for adopting an older dog! =D= \:D/ My heart goes out to the older dogs who need a home and are usually overlooked because young pups are so much cuter. Mine have been older dog rescues. My current one I rescued last December - she is 7 a...

Happy Birthday to the "birthday girls". Ask mom and dad to put the balloons up inside the house. Maybe you can go outside and do a Happy Birthday dance in the puddles.
