I just love love love love LOVE Chow Chow puppies! I miss how little Holden was as a puppy and that he would lay in my lap and I could carry him everywhere, but I do not miss the teething stage. I lost many a good pair of shoes :( and my dining room chairs and couch still show the damage that little...

Holden doesn't sleep at the bowl but he gets water all over the place when he drinks. Sometimes I think he gets more on the floor than in his mouth. Then he leaves a trail of water droplets when he walks away. Drives me nuts! We also keep the toilet lids down. I used to keep bleach tabs in the toile...

It's been a while since I had a puppy but from what I can remember, mine didn't drink excessive amounts of water... Even now, mine won't drink much except for after walks, play, that kind of thing. As far as rawhides, I do not like them for my dogs. I am afraid that a larger piece will break off and...

My Chow Chow is 4 years old and he still follows me everywhere when I am home. I just like to think of it as his attempt to show me how much he missed me while I was at work and how much he loves me :) I just refer to him as my shadow. Yes it's annoying at times, but I prefer it to a dog who ignores...

If he ran back to his bed when he saw your husband, I would ask if your husband is spending much time with him. Maybe he feels threatened by your husband and if so, hubby should try to bond with him more. As far as the bed, I would say that Leo obviously feels safe there. If his bed is in a room whe...

I almost wish we had gotten a third way back when. I really don't like having one dog because I think it's better for them if they have a companion. But I haven't decided what to do yet. Does anyone know a good breeder around the Indiana area? I truly believe that I had to put Tucker down due to bre...

Thank you. I am definitely a proud mommy. I am considering getting another Chow Chow since we lost Tucker. Although I think Holden is pretty happy being an only dog now. He gets all of the attention and all of the food! And he's been allowed to sleep in the bed ever since Mommy came home without Bro...

I had two male Chow Chows (one now, sadly) and they got along just fine. One we did not get neutered, but he was unique in that he never marked anything or was ever interested in the female persuasion up until the day I lost him. The other I got neutered at about 1.5 years (and looking back I wish I...

First Time User Showing Off My Boys
Hello All! I am the proud owner of beautiful Chow Chows. I started with just one (Holden), but my husband and I went back a few weeks later and got another (Tucker) because hubby said the first puppy was lonely. That was four years ago and although these aren't my first Chow Chows, they are definite...
