Some Animal Controls require 501(c)3 to get a break on rescue, others will give the animal up if you just have a small organization and are listed someplace like petfinder. If you go down through the listings of organizations in petfider you will see many are not 501(c)3. These links are the same as...

When you get ready to start taking donations have one of the moderators put a sticky on it at the top of Chow Rescue Groups, to me that would be the obvious place for it. Just my opinion.

Paypal fee's: 2.9% + .30 per transaction $100.00 donation would be $3.20 in fee's = $96.80 in fund This site has a PayPal donation link to help keep the site going, we would have to find a way to not confuse the two of them. Maybe a post with a sticky to keep it on top of let's say the Rescue Group ...

Also, I'm on the search for a very "low ash" kibble meets my list of other requirements as well. Buttercup is a Shih Tzu and the breed is very prone to having body ph that is much too alkaline. I have to keep Buttercup slightly acidic and it takes all of these home remedies combined, to k...

Welcome to the site.
Two out of the three that I have raised from puppies lost interest in toys very early. Our 8 year old still plays with his toys. Also, the one that plays with toys is the only one that likes to lick and chew on us, the other two almost never licked us.

I may have taken it wrong, I often do.
Stubbornness is more what I would say when it comes to bathroom issues.
Asserting their will over you is a pack leader type of thing and not a bathroom issue.

Edited for misunderstanding . Yes it is normal and NO she is not asserting her will over you. She has only been with you for a few days and has not picked out a place to go yet. Mine would hold #2 for a week when we were on vacation. I have an 8 year old rescue that has been here for 3 weeks and I ...

The shelters advice will only get you a mean resentful Chow but I think you know that already. It will take some time and she is still young but I think there is hope to make her cat friendly. How long have you had her? Is she barking & trying to bite them? We moved into a house that someone lef...

He can not be an inside dog as long as there will be children or men in the home. This limits his options to a single woman that can not have visitors and I am guessing a woman Vet? If he does attack and bite, we know what the outcome will be then. If you are open to an outside kennel then his optio...

Jenn has tried the very best she can and sometimes a dog just cannot be helped. She has tried so hard with Poe and even though I am probably going to be tongue-lashed for this, sometimes, just sometimes, it is better for a dog to be put to sleep. Better for the dog and better for people. I am not s...

What do you normally pay? I am assuming it is the 45-88lbs size. Most of the farm stores handle it now.

dog.com is $70.99 for 6
foster & Smith $70.99 for 6
Did not look at shipping for these two

http://www.petcarepoint.com $47.99 for 6 + 4.95 flat rate shipping

I'm sorry to hear you have an injured Chow. When Charlie was young he blew out both knees about 6 months apart, it was the ACL. The Vet could not tell what it was without sedating him for x-ray, he was too tense. As soon as he relaxed the Vet could manipulate his knee enough to tell it was an ACL in...
