Re: Souring economy puts the bite on pet owners
Foodstamps? Still? Disgusting, tell Obama to get rid of those, the last foodstamps I have seen were the ones my mother had left over after the Nazi era. No longer needed 'caus the US Navy sold us K special and popcorn for cheap. The US should not help others, help yourself first. The economy for the...

Looks like Conner is enjoying playing with a chow and getting paid for it, pretty good for a little tyke. Is Onyx staying? Maybe as a long time boarder?

Re: flowers for the pretty chowgirls
Princess loves beauty. She looks good right in the rosebush. My chow runs through raspberry bushes, not much bothers her. But heavens forbid if there is one sticky pine needle in her fur, she'll go berserk till she gets to it.

Re: The 'P' Family
I love the two chows in the pics and the miniature schnauzers too. I have friends who own a couple and I find them quite comical. As for Posh, I think she's a chow trying to look a bit different. LOL My chow Mikki is tiny, small boned. I first thought she was a chow/spitz/pom mix. My vet who dislike...

Coco's own traveling camper, nice chow house. Nice apartments, love the original moulding and the balcony. Haussmann had influence in architecture in other cities too, Moscow, Chicago and London. They build a few in my hometown during the franco-germanic war 140 years?? ago. Wiesbaden, Homburg and B...

Bruin is a cool name. He'll get used to it, try calling him when you have a treat in your hand. He'll learn quickly. I haven't been too successful with brushing teeth, my chow hates it. Good luck.

Re: Moving.....
My last move was with two cats. A couple of days before the move, I went to the new place and put a litter box, water, food in the spare room. I found it easier that way not having to worry about it on moving day. I put both cats in that room, secured the door knob with the back of a chair and attac...

Re: Best type of harness for a Chow?
Here's a link for both the lupi and the halti which I have used for my chows. Make sure you get the proper size. The lupi which I bought for my first chow doesn't fit the smaller Mikki chow, she slips out of it. I need to buy a smaller size lupi. Both, the chow and the mutt compete who is first, the...

Re: OK I GET IT!!! Can't Say A Word.....
Sorry to hear that the two K's had another rumble. I have no advice, I never owned two chows. I do agree with the stress factor. My first chow Luna was very sensitive, she'd get very hyper when I was stressed and had to run off because of family illness. She almost bit my neighbour because he yelled...

Re: what is the possible cause of drop ears in a chow
My chow Mikki is a pure bred and has drop ears. I don't know the reason, don't know her background. A few times my chow had ear mites and itchy ears. Might be that dirt, moisture gets trapped in the fold. You may want to check your chow's ears once in a while. As for posting photos, I have used phot...

Re: where to go
My previous chow and now Mikki were both raised near green. My son lives in the downtown core and chowsat Mikki one weekend, she refused to p on pavement. He thought something was wrong with the chow's bladder. I told him drive the chow to a park. I guess chows love livery service. Coco's been raise...

Re: where to go
Do you have a grassy strip along the main street where your two can relieve themselves? We have people owning houses in the sidestreets who spread moth balls or powder on their front and backyards to discourage racoons and other critters from pilvering through their veggies. I keep a plastic bag wit...

Re: Ziggy bit me. Advice?
A tetanus shot is good for 10 years. You can tell the doctor that you are planning to do gardening and it's advisable to have a tetanus shot. Soil contains lots of bacteria and can enter the bloodstream if there is a cut in the skin.

I went to a dog show once, I found it boring and never went back to see another one. All it is one big beauty show. I like to watch dogs frolicking in a park, running, playing, to me that's beauty.

Butters give your mom lots of purple kisses and do zoomies, those homosapiens love zoomies, you could butter her up and maybe your mom will take you twice a week for a brief walk?

I'm in a dilemma. I love Sweetpea's banners but I don't have any good photos of Mikki. I can't take photos now because she is in the middle of shedding, dropping, losing her fur. She looks a mess. Maybe in a month or so?
