Re: how big is your chow's teeth?
Loo has big ol' vampire teeth! Is it possible that you mean your Chows' front teeth? I think those are supposed to be small. Loo's certainly are! Just tiny little white things and then giant fangs on each side!

Re: My Chow Mix Rescue and her aggression with my husband
Most abuse that animals experience usually comes from men. That is just a sad fact that results in so many abused dogs having issues with men. It took years for my Chow rescue to stop being scared of men. Whatever harm came to beautiful Mocha, it is pretty safe to say that it was done by men. You ca...

Use "Upload attachment"! That's the easiest option! Make the photo small enough and it will definitely work!

Re: I need help we my new puppy
Hi! Your puppy cannot be alone for 9 hours! Imagine being a child and being locked into a boring bathroom all day! You'll have to ask your mother for help, or your dog will do her business in the house forever. She'll need to be taught how to do her business outside. Someone needs to be really commi...

Is the lump gone now? If not, maybe the thing needs to be removed. I don't think your vet managed to place it exactly where it was supposed to be placed.

God no, you don't have to crate train him if he's perfectly well-behaved! Nobody uses crates over here! Hope it never becomes fashionable here to have doggie cages.

Sounds like you thought of everything (babygate etc.)! And it sounds like those two might really come to appreciate each other and become great friends! That will be so nice for you.

Re: Borscht Being Aggressive towards Charlie
Poor Charlie, abandoned, taken in and now living under constant threat of attack, life can be cruel. :( Now don't be overdramatic. :) He lives with lovely people now who watch over him and do everything to keep him safe! Is there any chance they're just play-fighting? If there's no blood, maybe the...

They definitely look like Chows, but like reaaally young Chows. Nowhere near ready to move to a new home yet-Chows. Could be the pictures aren' recent ones. Why don't you visit them and see for yourself? It's important for you to know how and where they are raised, what the mother looks like and beh...

Re: dont know what you think chow x corgi
I guess you'll have to worry about two sets of breedspecific potential health problems. I don't think the chow corgi combo carries yet another set of specific health problems. What health issues are associated with the corgi? I can't say that I know! Their backs, I guess!

Nothing to worry about! When two armed, uniformed male strangers come to your house, this is the proper time for your dog to act protective! Don't you agree?

Re: Dog Walker Issues?
With Loo it's the exact opposite - he wouldn't leave the house with someone else if I was still there. Chows are weird! You can buy a short leash and leave it on Clovers collar, so that your friend can just take it up and walk him. Chows need to be tricked sometimes. Okay, all the time!

Sounds like your puppy has a short attention span - which is normal at three months! You are dealing with a baby! Not even a child, a baby! There's only so much she can take in and digest. Looks like she already knows a lot for her age. Just take it slow and enjoy her high baby spirits!

Re: newly adopted chow
I've recently adopted a 7 y.o. female from a family that took her in after her original owners passed away. Her original owners were elderly and both passed away within the past 2 years. The couples stepdaughter took the dog in temporarily and had her for about 2 months before we were put in contac...

If you're not poor, get a second opinion from another doctor! It sounds like it is something serious and I would expect your doctor to spring into action and examine her immediately, maybe even keep her overnight until the problem is found! If it's bloat, it needs immediate treatment, if she needs a...

Re: Dog Pacing means what
My dog is a he who is neutered. For a chow, he does get ample enough exercise everyday. We live in the country and he is outdoors quite a bit taking short walks. He is up and down the stairs. I am on top of his health and he recently had several examines for his seborrhea. The Vet always find him v...

Re: Dog Pacing means what
Could be a million things: might be a bitch in heat that stops him from sleeping and eating, might be a heart problem, might be he's simply not tired because he doesn't get enough exercise (does he get enough exercise?), ... . Work with your vet to get to the bottom of things. You know your situatio...
