Re: Lola being dirty on furnitute

This story gets weirder all the time. If this is the case of her not peeing or having accidents just because another dog was there the first thing that comes to mind is she is not content with the attention and stimulation that she is receiving. Maybe you should reevaluate your daily activities with...

Re: can a chow chow stay outside by himself during the day?

I'll put my two cents in. Absolutely do not leave this little fur ball outside. I think no pup should have to be crated or left alone for eight + hours. I only work 18-20 hours a week and Matilda still gives me the stink eye every time i leave. There's nothing wrong with letting them spend time outd...

Bless you for taking him in. You're pretty awesome to be able to handle four chows. Keep us updated as to how he is doing. Hoping your recovery is going well. Take care.

Re: is it to young to train a pup

Congratulations on your new pup. I remember the days. My advice from reading all of your posts is just to chill out a little bit and take everything one day at a time. This pup is only 8 weeks, just a baby. Everything will take time. It seems like you are trying to accomplish everything right now. A...

Re: My Chow mix bit me. :(

Pinoy51- this method absolutely changes the thought process at the time. Very rarely do we have to apply this, but it definitely snaps Matilda out of the particular situation. Believe me when i say this Matilda is all hugs and kisses 99% of the time, it's the 1% of the time she act's like she doesn'...

Re: Normal looking 6.5 week old?

Jesseekah21- when we looking for a new pup we had came across this particular breeder. We researched many many breeders at the time. The more we searched the more we could start weeding out the not so desirable. I think your particular breeder that your looking at does wonderful things for rescue. H...

I hate to even say this, but this pup does not look healthy. Have you already purchased ? This pup should still be with his momma. By chance is this pup from a breeder called Rhr chows?

Don't be so quick to judge. That knife was Tippsy's choice to carry. Thank goodness she was ok. And a special treat to Dixie. This man sounded like he had ill intentions. So scary.

Re: Groomers at 3 months old! Ear question!

Please don't worry about her ears. She is beautiful the way she is. The ears do go up on there own. I am not for sure of the time frame of this. I know this question has been raised before so you could do a search and find this information previously posted. I have heard of a few instances where the...

Re: I hear thunder, I hear thunder....

We could sure use the rain in the Midwest also. On the other hand Matilda does not like storms. If storms arrive in the middle of the night she is in the bed and out of the bed continuously all night long pacing. Poor girl hates the storms.

thankful for Matilda

I just wanted to express how much joy having Matilda brings to my life. I love her for so many reasons. A few of these are: Her smell, smile, tenderness, stubborness, silliness, quietness, the love she gives each and everyday, and last but not least her expressions (my favorite). Life without Matild...

Re: Lexi and my hubby's new game

Matilda loooves to play hide & seek. It is the funniest thing to see her get so excited and fun scared at the same time. I just had no idea that this was a game that chows liked to play. This is a game that my husband and her play together. All i have to say is "where's daddy" and then...

Ugh!! Chili are you serious. First off never ever hit your chowling. This will not be effective. Bite inhibition is a work in progress. It takes a whole lot of patience and consistency. I can pretty much asure you that she is not aggresive. Nadine is a puppy who like all puppies loooove to bite and ...

Re: Chows and toys

Matildas favorites- Stuffed toys- absolutely loves the squeaker. Also loves the little foam cat balls. She loves to barely put the ball in her mouth and then she drops it and watches it bounce. Then it's game on. It's hilarious to watch her on the hard wood floors with the ball. In some ways she doe...
