Re: Marley & Me - Book

The book about the border collie, a good dog or whatever it was, did make me mad at the idiot who owned that dog.

Re: Dogs Left - What do I do?

I used to live next door to a couple and when they divorced, the husband left last and left a dog tied out back...well, myself and a neighbor fed the dog and when we called animal control, they told us the dog had to go 3 days without food before they could take him away..... I was so pissed...

Re: Just Adopted.

My last dog was supposedly a chow mix, but he didn't have any black on his tongue nor did he have the chow-shaped ears. But the shelter said he was part chow. He didn't have the temp. of a chow though either. My dog now is DEF. part chow...he has the tongue and the attitude.

Re: Disturbing story...Non-Chow

I've just read in the Atl Journal that the dog I mentioned earlier has made a great recovery and will be released from the vet today to go to his new home. His name is Murphy, named after the park he was found in and will be going home with the man who found him. He, the dog, is a Australian Shephar...

Re: Aggression towards family member

I tell her to. She's nice to him sometimes but as soon as he gets pissy when it comes to me, she starts all over being mean to him. What can I say, I love the dog, so he stays no matter what. Of course I love her, but she started this so.... :(

Is it just me or are Chows picky eaters?? My Bear is so frigging picky when it comes to dog treats...he'll turn his nose up at certain treats and other things.

Re: I NEED HELP HERE!!!!! TALK TO ME!!!!

I haven't read everything in each post, but have you tried talking to a professional trainer? Or your vet? I really wish you luck on this and hope things can get worked out. When people come around my house I try to keep Bear on a leash or will just put him in another room cuz I know the potential f...

Re: Vet Question

Bear will give the eye to my guy vet and sometimes wants to do that head lowering thing. So when it was vaccine time I just left the room and he was fine with the vet. I guess the rest of the staff he's ok with. They said he was anyway. And Bear is attached to me the most. I love male dogs cuz I've ...

She's 17 so its hard to get anything into her hard head...but I will talk to her more. I don't remember being like that when I was her age. I loved all animals. Even if they didn't like me, I respected them.
