Re: Does your chow swim
Here in North Georgia we have a state park with a very large lake and I have been taking Maggie in and letting her get wet and swim with me alongside. I put a harness on her to give me something to hold on to while she swims around. What a great way to bathe her,Its a sandy bottom so she can just wa...

Re: Easiest way to remove a tick
It is better for the dog to have the tick release itself with the soap. I know people who encase the tick with a soaked alcohol cotton ball and they cant get off the dog fast enough. Tweezers and needlenose pliers ALWAYS have a chance to leave the head embedded in the dog and that causes infections.

Re: Therapy Chow
I had gone to visit someone in the hospital last week and they were having pet therapy while I was there. The therapy dog was standing away from me but there was no mistaking that it was a chow butt! I could tell right away it was a chow mix. I had asked the owner what kind of mix she was an...

Re: Dremel users?
I used the dremel on my chinabear {passed} after watching a video on the internet. The lady had several dobermans and showed every step to take. Dobies nails are huge too. Then I started walking her every morning and never had to trim the nails again {sidewalk}. The lady across the street has a chih...

Re: Beneful vs Nutro
I was turned off of Nutros when I learned some of it had the Chinese melamine in it, in fact Nutros removed their food from the shelves until they remanufactured it. Beneful has too much food coloring in it, you can tell each nugget is a different color.I am now using Blackwood, they have 3 or 4 dif...

Re: 6 month old chow help plz
My first chow would not eat all of the dry food, ate it lazily, then I started mixing some wet into it w/ warm water for a little gravy. Then she was standing on her hind legs waiting for me to finish mixing it up. My new Maggie may 8 month old puppy is eating Blackwood 3000, dry lamb and rice with ...

Re: My 7 month old Maggie May
Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I just lost my 15 yr old chinabear {she passed on} so I contacted some breeders here in Georgia and the whole southeast thinking if I had to go and pick up a new puppy it wouldn't be too bad of a ride. Well 4 months later a breeder in Atlanta was showing chow ...
