Is the weather much cooler in the evenings where you live? Sometimes something simple as that will affect how they get up and walk around. I just noticed on one of the photos that these infections are on the BACK of her ears. Is that correct? If so, try to clean them the best you can and see if there is a foxtail or something sharp stuck in her skin.

Your chow has a severe ear infection. You need to take her to the vet ASAP. They need to be cleaned by the vet and it needs to be professionally examined for a cause and you need to get medication for the problem. If you don't, she might go deaf.
