Re: Yogi needs your help. We need your help. Please look.

Yogi's streak might be broken by crating, YET, risking he won't trust the co owner/sister anymore. He might think "Why are you doing this to me? I didnt do anything wrong. I defended our grounds didn't I? " becaUse he's been doing it all along and no one among the owners seemed to disagree...

Re: Yogi needs your help. We need your help. Please look.

No nose thumping or squirt bottle by anyone, Then consider Cesar Milan's techniques? Uhmm. Isn't that contradictory? Myogobear said he wouldn't go physical with Yogi coz of biting risk. Cesar Milan can try to turn around Yogi himself if he's available and if Yogi's case will guarantee media mileage ...

Re: Yogi needs your help. We need your help. Please look.

I think I agree with MissV. We must somehow respect each other that we are from different parts of the world yet dogs are universal creatures because they dont understand human cultures. And I would say that a dog has to be disciplined verbally, and physically while young and manageable size because...

Re: Beware - Unscrupulous Breeder in the McDonough, GA area

Unscrupulous is not even enough to describe that fellow. Not all humans are human inside. Some are beasts inside and it is manifested by their deeds.

Breeder is willing to refund my money (except the reservation fee portion) if I will not like what I will see. I am glad he has that kind of attitude. He's bothered and have given that condition to me. I'll keep you posted. Many thanks

Re: Yogi needs your help. We need your help. Please look.

If I read right, Yogi has been well socialised in all aspects. His boundaries are given to him and respected by his family members. He was never placed in a dire situation and is well loved. He's even given enough leverage even though he bit several people including the mom and dad of his owners. Te...

Hi there. Yogi is not 100% a fear biter. Circumstances you hve detailed doesnt warrant it. I also respect your knowledge and experience coz u got a GSD and u REALLY know what u are saying. You're stumped coz you know your dog thinks he is boss and you cant do anyhing about it. HOW CAN A GOOD DOG BIT...

Re: Whether to get a second chow or not?

Yam, you should not have gotten a puppy because of your loooonngg work hours. A goldfish is more like it for your pet. It would be fine if you have some human Companions living inthe house to look for Yam while you are away. But since you have gotten the pup already, we can just SOMEHOW find ways to...

I like the Sire. But the Dam is not so much but maybe because she's not in the mood to look good because the pups are about 2 wks.

Re: Cassey The Chow that's going to mine

Oh Victory red lights lighting up! That breeder better be to my taste when i come over to see his place on Feb or I'll defer my purchase - that is if I can resist Cassey's charms :-. I do hope those two from the Philippines will come across this post.He has of course claimed he has dewormed Cassey, ...

Re: Cassey The Chow that's going to mine

Rory's Dad, that's a relief - . Yeah I also noticed the low position of the lightbulb and she seemed overfed and wet at paws and throat area. Yesterday, I called up and Cassey is now the lone pup because all her littermates has gone to new owners. Anyway when she comes to our home, she'll have a cle...

Re: I am furious!

I completely agree with Sarahloo, be calm next time. Maybe your neighbor was afraid to come over, fearing he'll get a mouthful from you :) And be extra careful in running after your run away dog , you might get hit by a speeding car. You have to admit, you got a serious lapse there; but lessons lear...

Cassey The Chow that's going to mine

Here's are few photo updates coming from the breeder of Cassey. She's 6 weeks and already 6.6 lbs (3kg). Are her eyes normal for chows? (Thanks Audimay! ) :D http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj614/camatis/Casseyupdates-1.jpg http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj614/camatis/Casseypose.jpg http://...

Yes Miss V , I'll post pictures here. (still have to find my way around this site though ;-) I would have posted her photo but I couldn't find a BROWSE button so I chose a ready made photo coming from this site) She'd (Cassey - name of my would be chow pup) be with us @ 8weeks 4 days on Feb 09. Re: advice needed

Really sad about your dog developing a fear because she has been attacked. She was traumatized. That's why I don't walk my dogs! , I let them out in my yard to play with each other but absolutely no encounters with strange dogs - they are not encouraged to bite. I bet you live in a city, and are for...

Re: Is it okay for a chow to live outdoors?

I think I am a bit unnerved by Bellachow's experiece. I've been re-reading all the posts here trying to understand a chow's nature coming from all owners. Frankly, I am having 2nd thoughts primarily on a chow's territorial nature!I think I understand her saying she racked up a lot on vet's b...

Re: Is it okay for a chow to live outdoors?

I guess I will keep my chow pup close to us for most of the time if you say she can end up a tyrant if she is let alone with my othr dogs. I never would want an aggressive dOg. i am the one who screens the breeder if they are just puppy mills, I wont buy. i am concerned about the dogs temperament as...
