Hannah is a rough coated Chow.
I have a smooth girl Chyna that has a fluffy smooth coat but I've had 2 other smooths that didn't have as much under coat as Chyna.
They are so many different variations in both rough & smooth coats.

Oh,don't worry,his coat will be back in no time!
It's just more noticeable on the smooths! Chyna looks like a lawn mower ran her over when she sheds her winter coat

Her eyes do look inflamed.I would take her to the vet and I'm sure some ointment will clear that up in no time!

It does sound like allergies but I'm sure the vet could give you some eye onitment to ease any discomfort.
Both Chyna & Kai have allergies and get runny eyes.

Thats great to know that they actually scan them! I always get everyone microchiped.
Its very inexpensive and well worth it!
