Re: Chow Chow Afraid of Boyfriend
Its not a drastic as it seems you just have to give it some time, My Chow hated me the first few weeks we adopted her, every time I approached her She growled and snapped, after about 2 momths the rolls changed My Chow and I became inseperable. There has been a few cases on here where the Chow didn...

Re: Chows Cry For Help - Literally
Somebody has to speak up for him...
This is the center of rage I have for breeders, no mercy for them or the a$$stain who gave him up.
It kills me not to able to take any more, and I only have 3, I can't imagine 9.

Re: Chow rescue -- I don't know what to say....
We had decided to rescue a chow last week and we were turned down. We recently lost our Chow in Oct 07 (she was 11 years old and had developed a terrible ulcer). The vet didn't want to do the surgery, as the whole ordeal would have been quite tramatic, and require 30 days at vet post surgey and she...

I took my gang out the other night when the snow fell and they weren't the least bit excited. :| They way they love staying out when it's cold I'd thought that they would love it but no, it is wet and they don't like wet at all. Marsh loved the snow, lived for the snow, and even got excited when I s...

It is a video based system, so you 56kers watch out. I haven't added any content yet, and there is still some tweaking left to do but just to give you a peek.

Worst comes to worst I could foster her, but I still worry over my girls aggression (Emma and Hanna) towards any more newcomers. It really is only around feeding time, but other that they seem to play a lot. Sounds like she is adjusting to living with you, and hopefully a permanent home soon found. ...

Sorry being so absent, it has been a long month and I have a few days to catch up on things. The site is done, I think. Aside from some network stuff I am told it is done and looks good. It even inspired one of the web guys who helped to pursue a rescue of his own. It would be nice to start of 2008 ...

Still lost here... Are Divot and Serene the same Chow? Did a Chow Rescue really dump off a Chow at a kill shelter? (Sorry for being so behind on current affairs, I have had a busy month with lots of driving) Will one of the CC.org regs, a non-whacko, please PM me with a accurate storyline? (so I can...

He is probably living under the shed in a dug out spot because it is much cooler than the dog house. Get him cleaned up and bring him inside if you can. Chows are easily house trained and I'm sure when summertime rolls around he will certainly prefer a cool floor with some A/C rather that the semi-t...

Solo's back and tail
Every now and then Solo will get these huge scabs on his tail and on his back at the base of tail. They eventually detach and I guess heal but get caught in his coat.

besides what others have already said I think that 1.) it is important for your Chow/mix to see you greet those who come in, and 2.) to tell those who come in to not to try to pet him/her for at least the first few times they come over, and even then never try to force themselves. Some Chows/mixes a...

Good question. I am halfway through getting my PPL and wish to do the very same, as well as travel for work and pleasure. My flight instructor has a PB Collie that flies with us almost every time. He sits in the back and never makes a sound. I always forget he is even back there until I land and get...

I know I may have covered this in a much earlier post, BUT, for those willing to have their Chow shown on http://www.savingchows.com could put the pic they want to use up with a short line giving permission to use it it would be a great help. Also, if you have a rescued Chow, and wish to write up a ...
