Re: extra watery/teary eye
Yes, he does lay around outside in the back yard quiet often.... He LOVES being outside. Wouldn't both eye be irritated? Nevertheless, thank you for your suggestions, Rory's dad. I am hoping to make Romeo feel better ASAP. His energy level is the same, just that he stopped eating his dry food ( core...

Re: extra watery/teary eye
Romeo's eye isn't getting better, probably even slightly worse...he started to rub his face on the floor/carpet and rub his eye. Took him to my regular vet last Saturday ( the vet visit prior was not his regular vet since we couldn't get a appointment right away) and the only irregularity he could s...

Re: extra watery/teary eye
Thanks Rory's dad, I will keep an eye out on Romeo. I couldn't take him to his regurlar vet since they didn't have any openings. His other eye gets watery too but not as bad as the left eye. I will keep at it with eye drops and see if it helps!

extra watery/teary eye
I've been noticing Romeo's left eye is extra watery/teary than his right eye. I finally took him to the vet and they checked his eye even did a dye test to see if there are scratches on his cornea and they didn't find anything wrong with him. They suggested some eye drop and that was that. Could thi...

Chewing on the same spot
Hi all,
Happy holidays~
My Romeo is 5 and 1/2 months old. Happy and healthy, except lately I noticed he has been chewing at the same spot next to his balls to be specific. Was wondering if anyone have any idea what it could be .....

Re: How common is aggression?
My puppy is 15 weeks old, I had him since he was 8 weeks. Personally I want to spend as much time with him as possible because they grow so fast and I don't want to miss a minute of it! I enrolled him in petsmart's puppy and hired a private dog trainer that comes to our home. Group class is good but...

Re: Houston, College Station, or Huntsville, TX?
next weekend will be perfect! I haven't gone to any dog parks in Houston, I just started to take Romeo to the one in my building. So Millie Bush sounds good, we can meet on Sunday or Saturday anytime after 2pm ( have appt till 1pm). let me know what works best for you.

Re: Houston, College Station, or Huntsville, TX?
Cindy,
It will be better if we could meet up on a weekend, I probably won't have time to go home and pick up Romeo and then go to the park. Which park do you take Chance to? I am pretty much free on the weekends ( except this coming up Sunday), let me know!

Cindy,
Romeo just got his last shot on Saturday, he had his 1st day at the dog park yesterday and he loved it!
Whenever you have time we should plan a meet up!

Re: 9 weeks old pup cries when I leave
Thanks for sharing! Its so interesting to me to read about how other chow chows are...:) Romeo is about 3.5 months now, do you increase the food intake at all? He seems to be hungry even after we feed him ( 1 cup AM & 1 cup PM) he is growing fast, i can still pick him up and hold him as of right...

Re: 9 weeks old pup cries when I leave
Cindy, No, I am not going to show Romeo, how many shows has Chance been in? I was wondering if Chance bark at all? I never owned a Chow before and was curious because Romeo hardly ever ever bark. No complaints here, but just curious :D Also, he only sleeps on the floor, not interested in his doggy b...

I bet chance gets lots of love and attention. I am in a condo and people stop me and takes pictures with Romeo, I met so many neighbors and people recognizes Romeo. They might not know me but they know Romeo for sure!

Re: 9 weeks old pup cries when I leave
That's good to know. I thought it might be a bad idea not to crate train Romeo, since I've read crate training is a good idea to keep your puppy out of trouble when he isn't under any supervision...etc..and they will get used to it eventually. So jealous you can bring Chance to work!! lol I would ju...
