Too cute! My daughter Haley and I had the same thing with the names- she wanted Cloe and I CoCo, so of course we ended up with Lily. Haley Chose Lily as her final selection, and the final vote (tie breaker) was up to my husband. We shot his choice down (Bonnie) so he got the deciding vote. It only t...

Good names! I haven't chosen Lil's regestry name. Her mom is Serena Breeze and her sire the Great pumpkin Sneed. We named her LilyAnne (pronounced more like Lillian). She has many nic names the oddest is Porky Pie...used when she comes up and acts sweet and endearing. I've toyed with combinations of...

Hair balls

My dogs spent a good part of their play time hanging off each others scruffs. Lil the Pill seems to frequently have a tuft of poor Pippy's fur hanging from her lips afterward. I'm constantly probing her mouth for black fur when I see she looks as if she's chewing gum. She thoughtfully allows this. I...

Safety Fencing

Last week, I had Lily tied out with Pippy, our Lab/chow mix roaming freely (she never goes anywhere, so not actually roaming...) and ended up dousing off on the couch for about an hour. When I woke, I checked the dogs and there lay the tie-out with a broken collar attached! My heart sank. Ho...

Except for better color on his nose and a bigger 'milk mustache', he looks like my Lily, too cute! don't take him to petsmart, you'll never get out for all the attention. I'm having Lily spade, but I always get second thoughts when I see her male twin...lol

I got Lily through pupfind .com- She came from a hobby breeder 110 miles south of us in Indiana. I established a 'puppy criteria' and stuck to it. I was looking for a family pet, within driving distance, no color preference (tho I love Lily's color), and no apparent health, or behavioral problems. S...

Pip, our 9 year old chow /lab mix (my chowder...take THAT Cockapoo!) is a dream-she stays in the yard, fetches sticks and balls, chases rabbits with abandon (to the edge of the yard, no further) and after a week of 'what did I do to deserve this?' looks, plays with and watches over Lily, our 4 month...

Thanks for all the replies! She doesn't have the dark mask that cinnies characteristically have, nor the 'fawn' coloring that separate them from reds. Hard to see in the pics I chose, I'm adding more, but until I upgrade to dsl next month, the uploads are as slow as my typing...lol

Red or creme?

The breeder listed lily as a creme, but she has reddish highlights. When does red become red? At the riskof being chowlitically incorrect, I'd call her coloring champagne(but we know that isn't a real color, don't we...)
