I have a real easy cheap birthday cake and it turns out so darn cute. Take two (or three or four depends on how many guests you are having) cans of dog food and put it on a plate and shape it into a round circle (like a cake). Decorate it with treats and push in milkbones standing up on top for the ...

Congrats on your new baby! I really feel that rescued dogs know you saved them. My rescue was the best dog we ever had. I now have a 4 1/2 month old puppy. I have found that Kennels stress them out a lot and the throwing up and sometimes diarria too are just part of the stress. It usually takes abou...

The more you read it seems the more you find and it's confusing when you are trying so hard just to do the right thing. I feed the natural large breed puppy because I know my ChowBoy will be over 50 pounds. I didn't feed my female the large breed puppy way back when. I have always read that it helpe...

welcome Ben!
I'm starting to feel guilty I get more excited over seeing new chowling and chow postings and especially the pictures than I do over my human kids. I'm glad Ben is so good~ My new cream chowboy chews and humps the couch  but other than that he's an angel. I think god made them so beautif...

Ah Nuk is so sweet! I love bath pictures. I gave my new cream boy a bath at our pet wash when we brought him home, he was mad at me and had his back to me but I was happy for the nice smelling pooch and the first bath picture! :D Bailey first Bath: http://img2.glowfoto.com/images/2006/08/05-22052046...

Thanks for the support!!!!
I sure miss my Moses, he was a very special Chow and not a day goes by that I don't think about him. After having a showgirl (LuLu) that took me three years to train and she did well in the ring but was so stubborn until she was 8. She died at 12. I then got Moses from rescue. He turned out to be th...

thanks
He responds to verbal uh ah's pretty good so I think he gets the message and I realize he's doing what comes natural. I don't get the dominance issue with the couch or the pillow though. I just hope it stops when the hormones level. He's the only Chowd right now. I'm glad we all had a laugh over it ...

Help ! The puppy is Being a BOY!
My four month old creamboy is riding everything in sight. It's embarassing! He will hump the couch or a pillow or anyone that will lend him a leg or shoe.....UGH!!!! The vet's surgery schedule is very booked but he's been in to get neutered the end of September. I hope he stops once the surgery but ...

COLOR
I had to smile when I red this post because I too just went through the same thing with the colors. I've had a black in the past and then a Cinnamon showgirl and then a red rescue. We just adopted a 4 month old cream boy. I think the reds are preferred in the show ring. I think the blacks are too bu...

CHEW CHEW
Hello fellow chowfriends! Ok, I need a bit of advice. We did adopt a new cream chowboy and he's an adorable ball of fluff. He's four months old. He's a CHEWER! None of my other Chows Chewed (no..not my kids! LOL). He has plenty of toys and bones but he seems to like flip flops and the coffee table b...

Need advice on Chow Color Temperament
Hi! I have had chows all my life, a black one then a beautiful Cinnamon Showgirl and we recently said goodbye to Moses, a big red chowboy. Of course, our hearts and homes would not be complete without a chow in the family and we began our search. We have found a cream chowboy that we are interested ...
