No blue Chow Chow are not rare. No colour the breed is ingfact considered rare. the only color I may say that there maybe considered a little bit more valuable is cream (one that has a black nose). the reason why I am saying so is because creams are generally self-colored and and have a livered col...

Thankyou for that additional info. Also what i'll like to add is that the wrinkles on Chows are not needed as that is also said in the standard and does not contribute to expresssion. They are only there for the breeders personal preference. The only thing that is needed is the furrow of skill from...

Is a long or short nose standard? What is in the standard is infact called for a moderate muzzle. However is says that the muuzzle shall be no shorter than 1/3 of the length of the skull. I would like to say that I come on ChowChow.org once in a blue moon and the last time I was here this was in di...

Re: Face
Does the face matter when it comes to the standard? Yes it does matter, because the chow is one of the "head breeds". Meaning that there is great emphasis that should be taken toward the head peice. If you read the standard (A.K.C) you'll notice how detailed they made it. I personally thi...

That's a video of Chinese Foo Dogs. Very cute, if you ask me. Never even knew they existed.
These set look like smooth Chows. So I guess since they come into a toy size, then I could see why they could have been called a chow.

I am thinking strongly about co-owning another Chow.
Well I have been thinking long and hard about co-owning another Chow with a "asscociate" of mine. Right now I am looking for a local breeder instead of an international one which was originally planned, because it would be far to much of a hastle to bring it into the country. Well the fir...

In my opinion aswell, it does sound like a BBY to me aswell. It is nice to see that they said that they are breeding for temperment, but also you need to know that you are selling healthy pups and know stated that they were tested for hips and stuff. In my opinion aswell, if one is to breed, even i...

My first priority was to go and see if both Krillan and Shadow was secure since I was already to my corner so I made my way home to double check. When I went back out to the corner which was no more than 2 minutes later, there was no sign of the Chow. I couldn't have even gone to the house and tell...
