Mine would be ballistic too.
We don't do blinds here because of the little chow terrors.
In fact, even the curtains are in danger.
Cat, bunny, squirrel - it's amazing the glass doesn't break, LOL

It should be ok as long as you keep an eye on him and don't let him have it when you aren't there.

Even though I accustomed my two chows to being washed and brushed from eight weeks old, it took about 2 years before either one got used to it. They still don't love it, but will tolerate it. Every year it gets better.

When I wash them at one of those places I choose the most natural shampoo they have. And, I usually choose a puppy shampoo because it is gentler.
