Re: throwaway chow

BC: You mention that he is following you around alot and that he sometimes shies away from your wife. I would like to offer you a bit of caution. Chow Chows tend to bond with only ONE person ... the other is generally only "tolerated" but not loved. This was true for me. My husband (while ...

Re: Dealing with loss...

I just saw your post and my own heart is breaking all over again. We lost our Kimba 06-03-2011. She was a light in my life. When I lost my job a year ago I was home all day long. Boy! Did we bond during that period of time!!! I can tell you that the pain does subside and I shared with someone on thi...

Re: Fond memories of the Babies we Lost

What lovlies you had!!! We lost our girl, Kimba, earlier this month and I know the pain and emptiness that follows. But ... the memories are a healing balm and I hope you find smiles when those pictures come into your mind. It takes time and this site sure does show lots of support. That helps, too....

Re: Rest in Peace ... Our Garden Guard

UPDATE: Thank you to all those of you who sent kind words and condolences following the loss of our girl, Kimba. We just found out from our local breeder that ... we're pregnant!!!! We had had a deposit in with them over a year ago so that we could add a pup while Kimba was able to teach it all her ...

Re: Sneezing...

Our Kimba (RIP 06/03/11) would come into the room (or wherever we were) and sneeze at us. This meant that she either A) wanted to go out or [most often] B) wanted to go for a walk. If she just wanted to go out, she would then proceed to stamp a foot once or twice, nudge my husband (or grab his wrist...

Re: Rest in Peace ... Our Garden Guard

Thank you, Linda. I LOVE Boogie's face; those intent eyes that burn right through you. I bet he lights up your heart when he "smiles" like Kimba does for me. I also appreciate the camaraderie I have found here.

Re: Rest in Peace ... Our Garden Guard

Thank you Auddymay. I know that in time as I travel through the house or do something or see something that brings back a memory of our girl that the sobs will turn to tears, then the tears will turn to sighs, which will someday turn to smiles of loving memories. Your little girl is gorgeous!! Looks...

Rest in Peace ... Our Garden Guard

We are grieving the loss of Kimba Martin, who died June 3, 2011 at 10:20am. She was our Garden Guard, finding the coolest earth to lay where my husband had just hoed or tilled in the vegetable garden or my flower garden. In winter, she would sit in the corner of the house near the garden, watching t...
