Re: Moving overseas

Did you get to see them during layovers? I have no clue how this works, so I'm wondering how do they get out to go potty, do you just give them a little bit of food to hold them over? Is he probably going to have to be quarantined? LOL I'm SO NERVOUS about this! I know it'll be rough...I just like t...

Moving overseas

There's a possibility we are moving to Dubai/Abu Dhabi (not sure which one yet) which means we will be flying for over 24 hours. Of course we are bringing Buddha with us, what I was wondering is how do they do on long flights like this?

Re: Which DOG FOOD?

It's a sticky subject to be honest. Science Diet is generally agreed by a majority of people on here that it's not good. I'm not sure if Red Dragon uses ProPlan still, I used it on my Chow and his poop was runnier and there was definitely more of it. The other two I've heard little about. The most i...

Yeah, the yappy one's always attack him, he's usually able to fend them off, the lab just took him by surprise since it was so nice at first.

Re: Dog Bites

Funny story related to this. My husband is a UPS driver, and yesterday he was at a hous and two labs came running up to him, and Jake stopped and made sure they were ok with him. They seemed to be, they were wagging their tails and let him pet them and followed him all the way up to the house with n...

Re: Dog Bites

I thought it was interesting that labs got the highest percentage, although that could be because EVERYONE has them. There always seems to be some sort of protest in Denver concerning the Pit Bull ban, most people are against it.

I thought it was a good article too, very unbiased. It's nice to here someone defend the animals for a change.

Re: My new favorite tool

Buddha hates it, and I only use it for a few minutes when he's shedding. Actually, when we had Annie we couldn't afford to take them to the groomers as often, so I used it then, now I just plan on taking him to the groomers to get blown out. Hopefully that'll work, the slicker brush didn't do much g...

Sorry, I just realized how discouraging my post was. Definitely keep working with him, and keep an eye on him. It truly does sound like you are doing everything right, just keep at it, he's smart, he should catch on soon.

Re: Potty training help!

We had a HUGE problem with BOTH Annie and Buddha pottying in the house. Turns out, the people who owned the house before us let their cat's go wherever they wanted, we had thorougly cleaned the carpet, but apparently not enough. We have since FINALLY replaced the flooring and have not had one accide...

Re: surgery for bear

Since your vet has seen Bear and Daisy, he knows how they were treated by these people, aren't there laws in Australia that could help get this chow out, and keep these people from getting any other animals? I

Re: Hello This is Such a nice place, but HELP PLEASE

I'm definitely no expert, but after reading their website, they seem like responsible breeders. They have beautiful chows! They are only about 45 minutes away from where I live. I can't tell you how hard we looked for a Chow Breeder when we got here.

Where is Winks Chows out of? We are in Greeley, and we couldn't find a Chow breeder anywhere in Colorado when we were looking for one when we first got here.

She is doing SO GOOD!!! I just talked to Erica the other day and she's made herself right at home. She's still wary of going inside a lot, but they have been working and working with her. She was like that for us too. She has to be bribed, but she has completely bonded with Erica and her husband. Th...
