Re: Kage at 6 months old

We think he is weighing around 40 pounds now. Last time he was weighed about two weeks ago he was 35. Yeah, he does look a lot like your dog Jasper. If I can get him to stand still I will have to measure him.

Re: People make me sick!

It sounds like really the woman killed the kitten by being irresponsible. I have never heard of not putting newborn kittens in a confined space such as a box or basket that mom cat can get out of but the babies can't.

Re: Kicked out of puppy socialization....

I looked up the puppy socialization thing on yelp today and the reviews said that the woman kicks out dogs that are not behaving perfectly. Kind of confusing, bring your puppy to socialize; but only if the puppy already is relatively skilled at socializing. Oh well, I will just have to stick ...

Re: Kicked out of puppy socialization....

Yeah, this place was extra socialization. We contacted the trainer from puppy kindergarten which he already finished. She didn't seem to think it was that worrisome. She did say it might be because the space was small so he felt confined. She also said that he (being himself) can get nervous easily ...

Re: Kicked out of puppy socialization....

We introduced him to a friend's dog today. He did great. He barked like crazy when he first saw her and then started whimpering to play. They played for two hours. So maybe he was excited and the trainer was too impatient.

Five month old still biting

Our five month old puppy had pretty much stopped biting us but now he has started biting again. He has not drawn blood but it is not gentle. We have done yips, ouchs, leave it non-stop. We have used peppermint mouth wash which stops it for an instant and then again. He is biting when excited and whe...

Kicked out of puppy socialization....

Our puppy today after two weeks of not being around other dogs due to pneumonia went to a puppy socializing place. He is 5 months old now. He has done lots of dog socialization from puppy kindergarten to this socialization class, walks, family dogs, and a dog park. He has done pretty well except whe...

He is getting better. He has started trying to bark at our cat again. He even initiated play for a short time today! He is now snoozing on the floor right beside my husband. :D

Re: Puppy with pneumonia

Supposedly he is doing better. We may be able to bring him home tonight. My husband says he was told Kage was the best dog at the hospital! O:) His fever has gotten a lot lower and he was able to eat this afternoon. Thank you for your well wishes.

Puppy with pneumonia

Our puppy Kage has pneumonia. He is overnight at one of the overnight emergency hospitals in the area. We then have to pick him up and move him to a new place in the morning to keep the price as low as we can. He was miserable. He was holding his ears sideways. Waaaaah!

Re: What is he?

Thanks for all the responses! His name is Kage. Japanese for shadow. He was at a neighbor's house, the wife did not want a big dog and was letting him loose in the yard without it being closed enough to keep him inside. When he was found and returned the husband told us they were going to take him t...
