Re: How Long do you Walk?
Once we walked Chelsea too far and we were walking for about 40minutes when she just refused to budge anymore. She just lied there on the sidewalk refusing to get up! We had to carry her the rest of the way. Moral of the story: chows don't walk too much.

Re: heavy breathing and panting
Our lil Chelsea's 5 months old too and she's been losing teeth as well. We've noticed that she doesn't finish her food as quickly too. At night, when she loses a tooth she sometimes cries. We have been giving her ice and a frozen wet towel to help with the pain. She's also very easily bothered by he...

Falling asleep
It was a mad weekend of parties for Chelsea and she's been a great favorite with the children. Yet, she wanted to keep playing. We kept trying to get her to take a nap in the car, but she was too excited! She ended up falling asleep sitting up. "Look, I'm not sleepy!" http://photos-a.ak.fb...

Re: Missing my babies...
I miss my Chelsea even when I go to work! My husband suggested this morning that I should consider staying home full time if I can't bear to be away from her!

Re: First time Chow owner
Thanks all! She seems to be settling in well, but she's not really sleeping through the night, and will wake up at intervals wanting to play. Has anyone else experienced this before? During the day, she's full of energy and keeps wanting to chew on things i.e. our hands, furniture. We've tried to re...

Re: First time Chow owner
Thanks onthemove! We were looking for a dog that isn't too active, and is independent enough to be home on her own while we're at work. Our neighbour has a small dog which we can hear barking away in a high pitched voice all day, and we definitely don't want that to happen to our dog. Have been lurk...

First time Chow owner
Hi all, We brought home 8 week old Chelsea over the weekend. Her first night home, she had a few accidents, but she's been improving and adjusting day by day. Now that she's finished sniffing around the whole house, she's been asking us to let her out to the front yard to do a poo. She had her first...
