Re: Getting along with other dogs
This sounds like a alpha issue. The male bull dog is the alpha male and your chow is starting to challenge his position. I really don`t know what advice to give, maybe some of the other readers have solved this issue

Hang in there, I feel the same way about my Bear, she will be 9 next month. That's one reason I adopted my little Bo, so when that day has come and gone I can maybe see some of her in him. Don`t get me wrong, no other dog ever could or will take her place in my heart but I know I`ll need help to get...

The people who found the dog refused the reward. At least he was reunited with his family. Just proves there are still good people out there.

Re: Did anyone see the Chow inducted into the hall of fame?
I agree, all in a days work, just look at everything that's wrapped in those little bodies: the courage of a lion, fierceness of a tiger, strength of a horse, loyalty of a friend, eye of an eagle and love of an angle. \:D/ and oh yes lets not forget the stubbornness of a mule #-o I have no doubt my ...

My little Bo looks like Tippsy, I thought about naming him that because of the orange tip on his tail. I think he will have a more wrinkled nose when he gets older because he is only 4+1/2 mo old and his nose is wider than Bears. Thats Ok we all know Tippsys full blooded

Funny you mention this because I replied to a post the last day or so about the same thing. They can somehow sense more about people than we can. Mine are the same way.

Sleeping with a lumberjack
I will soon have Bo for a month, he will be 5 months old. My Bear has always been a loud snorer. Last night I was lying in bed watching a movie and started hearing a strange noise. I muted the TV and it was Bo snoring. Bear sleeps on the right side of the bed, Bo on the left and it sounded like the ...

Sounds like my Bear. If it is raining and she has to go out I`ll tel, baby its raining out there, and she will look at me like daddy don`t tell me that. She will look out and huff, go back and lie down. She hates to get wet. Bo on the other hand should have been a lab.

I agree, they are great dogs, and to all those people who are so misinformed as to chows being vicious I say FOOOOOOOOY :D One thing I can say and I think most people will agree with me, Chows are good Judges of character. When I drove cross country and Bear rode she would sit in the passengers seat...

Bear has escaped on me a time or two. The last time I was bringing groceries in, I`ll put the bags on the sofa until I bring in everything. This time I finished bringing everything in and started putting it all away and noticed she wasn`t under me. She is usually there hoping to get a treat. I could...

I have heard of many people getting two puppies at one time. I recently adopted a new baby to keep my 9yo girl company but your situation would be different. You will have your hands full but in time you will never regret it
