Re: Benny has moved to the Rainbow Bridge

Thanks, everyone.
It really helped to hear from Benny's friends, old and new, around the world. Benny was the first Chow to adopt me since my first, a little furball named Midnight, over 50 years ago. He changed my life so much by involving me with all of you.

Benny has moved to the Rainbow Bridge

Our friend Benny, Adjutant Chow of Steel's ChowForce has left Ft Piney Woods Chowquarters to wait with his friends at the Rainbow Bridge. He has been sick for some time with a thyroid failure, Cushings and some minor carcinomas, but we thought it was being controlled by his medications. I knew somet...

Sorry I haven't written lately, but my stupid biped is getting more useless every day. Congratulations on your new people-puppies! Soon you can get into all kinds of trouble and just blame it on them. :D

Judy, Fred, Mabel and family, Words are so useless in times like these, but our hearts are, and always will be, with you all. Benny still remembers dancing with Milly at that great Chowyears Eve Party a few years ago. He is looking forward to seeing her again at the Rainbow Bridge. He says to save h...

Re: Look out Texas

Thanks for all the concern. As Vicster said Benny, Lady, BobbyCat and I will be staying home at Fort Piney Woods Chowquarters for this one. We are far enough inland that storm surge is not an issue, and the only potential problems are tornadoes and trees falling on us. That could pretty much happen ...

Re: ChowFest in Houston, Texas?

As I understand it, if we agree on the time (like 1 or 2 Nov) then we need a place. I haven't been to the dog parks around the Woodlands, but they look good on the webpages. A friend just told me about a new one in Huntsville, but I don't know if that would be any better for the Austin/Dallas/Amaril...

The first weekend in November sounds good to us. That gives it a chance to cool off a little and get the hurricanes out of the way.

Re: ChowFest in Houston, Texas?

Benny ]):) here. I would certainly have my biped, JerryO, bring me to Texas ChowFest ! U. S. ChowForce's Fort Piney Woods Chow Center is actually just outside of Trinity, ~80 miles north of Houston, so we won't have to go far for this one. Lady :o) and I made him drive to California for ChowFun last...

Thanks, Millie. The "not gonna eat that stuff" is a good trick. I used it alot on JerryO when I first got him, just to make sure he understood his duties as my butler. At one point I even had him hand-feeding me from a SPOON!   It was funny to watch, but I got bored with it...

Furkids Abused at Fort Piney Woods

Hi everyone, this is Lady :o) . I'm sad to report that our biped, JerryO, seems to have developed a mean streak, and we are wondering if he should be put down before it gets worse. Let me explain: Yesterday as Benny and I were keeping watch, (aka, sleeping on the back porch) our housemate, BobbyCat, ...

In all seriousness, Somebody HAS to report this nut. The next time he decides to beat something to death, it may be your sister or one of the kids. This guy is a ravin headcase! He needs to be off the streets NOW!

Re: Southern Chow Fest 2008??

Just to give a little perspective to those of you who have not experienced Texas driving distances, I live in east Texas. That means I'm closer to the Atlantic Ocean than I am to El Paso out in west Texas. If I drive to the Pacific Ocean, El Paso is over half way there. I could drive to Chicago in a...

Re: Chow Fest 2008 East of the Mississippi

Kentucky or Tennessee are certainly more central than Georgia or the Carolinas. That big patch of blue on the right side of them is the Atlantic Ocean! They're on the east coast. Alabama was great last year. We had people from FL, GA, LA and TX, and it was WELL worth the drive! KY or TN would ...

As reported, apartments in her building go from $3000 a month for a studio, up to $11,000 a month. She actually lives in a nicer building than the Spitzers. Re: another one bites the dust

Canada has a different approach to the issue. The "call-persons" are refered to as "s*x-trade workers" and in some areas have unions and lobbyists. One of the recurring questions before the city council in Vancouver, a few years ago at least, was where they could set up a "s...

Re: another one bites the dust

Well, let's look at the numbers for a second. :D Spitzer has about 80 million, or so I hear. Mrs. S is gonna get at least half. or 20 mil. Let's say they have been married 30 years. If Elliot got full first class service 365 nights a year, which is not likely, Mrs. nets about $3650a night, so it's n...
