Re: ADVICE NEEDED ON NEUTERING MY BABY
Thank you for the advice! He has an appointment to be neutered, and him and the new pup have been getting along great. Still hoping to resolve the cat issue, as the cat is our roommates. Hoping that his prey drive goes down once he is neutered. We have been constantly socializing him, and although h...

ADVICE NEEDED ON NEUTERING MY BABY
Jayce is a one year old blue chow chow, and acts very much like stereotypical "mean chow". He is mean to new people. Scares the neighbors by nipping when they go to pet him, he is great with us and our roommates, but he tends to get testy with everyone but me and my boyfriend. He does grea...

Re: Why my chow chow is small?
I do not believe there is a growing chart for them. Google searches are not very accurate. My baby at 8 weeks was tiny and he's the perfect size now. Yours might also be a runt. It's not a bad thing that he is small now. All puppies grow at different rates.

Oh ok! That makes sense! I would have never considered him to be an iteration of blue as my pup is blue and looks nothing like him! Thank you guys so much!

Rescue full blooded foster Chow! Can't figure out his color? Anyone know?
Rescued this senior baby from the shelter, and am fostering him until he finds his forever home. I've never see a chow this color. Any breeders know the technical breed color? http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161025/caa48575c5d340c91cd55f244a413b17.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161025/6dbf0...

Re: feeding my chow
Cinnamon will be a much darker color. I fostered a cinnamon senior for a while. They are this color. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161022/ff4776ac52ae28a9e3893d5a4c170ebb.jpg I am feeding my pup solid gold! He eats twice a day as he is only 3 months. He is shooting up like a bean stock though. T...

Re: Thoughts on Crate Training - Not Crate Training
All my pups are crate trained and love their crates. After about 2 months we don't even have to close the doors anymore unless we leave the house. They sleep in there, and have their alone time. They have all taken to it very well, but my chow and chow mix specifically have seemed to love the crate ...

Re: Best Puppy Food?
My pup eats solid gold bison and oatmeal formula. He's popping up like a bean sprout and is very active!

Re: New puppy likes to play bite
My husband and I train pups, and usually that method works, but when it doesn't you need to up the anti. My chow puppy Jayce had the same issue, we had to Yelp in pain and say "ow" and then put him in his crate. Once he realized he got absolutely no play when he bit, he completely stopped....

First Chow Chow and already ready for a second!
Got my first Chow Chow baby at ) weeks! His name is Jayce, and we got very lucky to find someone with blue babies! Jayce is basically my son, he is super loveable and put his ears back and shakes his butt in excitement when I get home. He is a doll, and has been surprisingly easy to train for the am...
