Re: New Puppy w/ possible entropion

If your worried about it have the vet do a dye test on the eyes. They'll be able to see if there are any scratches to the eye.

Re: Breeder: Rhenegade Chows

Phenotype/genotype was mentioned in the article but not in regards to what I was referring to. I was referring to incomplete penetrance (when some individuals fail to express the trait, even though they carry the allele). If someone bred a Merle to a solid (but that solid carried but didn't express ...

Re: Breeder: Rhenegade Chows

It is not "safe" to do a Merle to solid breeding in chows. People always say it's ok as long as you breed a Merle to a solid. For example, You may think your doing a Merle to red breeding. But in chows the phenotype and genotype don't always match. The dog may look red (phenotype) but in f...

Re: New baby

Yes blue Jasmine and Eukeyo live with my mom a lot of the time. When I bought my own house (and moved out of my moms) Eukeyo was already 10 years old so I didn't want to uproot him. Then I didn't want him to be lonely when our other chow Esperanza died. So we got Blue Jasmine.

New baby

My new baby finally arrived from Russia yesterday. She's a total doll. So sweet and happy even after her long flight. She follows me, gives kisses and climbs in my lap. She's very respectful with my other chows. I adore her!

Re: Does anyone know Marina Ganicheva?

No. She arrives on Monday. I'm sure Blue Jasmine will love her. There only 3 weeks apart. Blue Jasmine has many friends. I also have a 7 month old blue male, a 1 year old red female and an 11 year old red male.

I adore the sire. That's why I'm buying her. She was bright red when she was born so I'm hoping she ends up looking like him!

Re: Blue Jasmine

Rory's Dad: No...My moms 9 year old chow died a couple weeks ago so I got her for my mom. I've always had chows. I grew up with them and I've had my own chows for the last 11 years. The only part I'm new to is conformation.

Re: Does anyone know Marina Ganicheva?

Yes, I did already have one in mind. I hope that wasn't offensive. I didn't know she had puppies available. I've attached a photo of the puppy and of her sire.
