Re: Need to borrow a rough coat Chow Chow for a music video in London
Hi Marisa
Did you find a suitable chow? Bella is now 6 months and extremely friendly .... We have family in East London so would be happy to visit if you are still looking?

Re: BURP!
Bella does exactly the same ☺☺ .... I think it is cute, but could she be eating too quickly and swallowing air? I do worry as a couple of friends have lost dogs to bloat and I would attempt to stop the burping if this could lead to her being ill.

Hello everybody. .... I am thrilled to say we will be getting a puppy at the beginning of January and I would really appreciate your advice on how to make her introduction to our existing 3 year old chow a happy and stress free experience. Many thanks

Re: Chow insurance?
We went with helpucover.co.uk for our boy Toby, with life time cover it costs less than £15 per month. Haven't need to claim so couldn't comment on their service but the renewal each year has always been straightforward. Good luck

Re: Teeth Care
I have just been recommended a product called Plaque Off - bought via amazon - has anybody else tried this - the reviews on the site almost sound too good to be true - but my 11 year old westie needs help with her teeth and she will not let anybody near her, so brushing is not an option. Thanks

Re: UK Pet Insurance
Hi there, I too live in the uk and did take out insurance for Toby. It is with helpucover.co.uk and costs me £10 per month (all of life cover). Toby is now 12 months old and thankfully very healthy - I on the otherhand have just had major surgery and spent 4 days in hospital. The insurance covered t...

Re: Sleeping
Hi Tara - I too had a puppy that woke and barked through the night, so I sympathise. The good news is he grew out of it - or at least we changed the sleeping arrangements and he was then happy to sleep all night!! If you want to read my original post - search Puppy that barks through the night - sor...

Re: Puppy getting big!!
Django is absolutely adorable. He certainly looks a very happy chappy and I am impressed and a little jealous at how soon you have managed to train him at recall. I am afraid I am still too cowardly to let Toby off the lead, he does chase around the garden happily - and thankfully there is plenty of...

Re: Floppy Ears?
Many thanks to everyone for their helpful comments. Yes Toby is a wonderful young man, really couldn't imagine being without him. We initially got him simply as a pet, and this is really what he is, but did wonder about putting him into the occasional show if he enjoys it

Floppy Ears?
Hello everybody just looking for a little advice. Toby is now 10 months and he is very handsome but his ears still seem to be a little 'floppy'. If I ever wanted to show him would this be an issue?

Congratulations - he looks adorable - be sure to take loads and loads of photos as it is amazing how quickly they grow up. It's hard to believe Toby looked like that just 6 months ago - really pleased your dream of a chow came true, now enjoy every moment !!

Re: Rory Photo's
Thanks Rorysdad - that is really helpful. Toby is still young - but I think he will be a big boy when fully grown - I recently uploaded a photo under the discussion "Anybody got a cream chow?" Your chows are both beautiful and I can see why they are doing so well in the show ring

He certainly is a handsome chap!! Can I ask when their ears usually stand up?? My boy Toby is 5 months now and they still flop over - although this does make him look cute.

Re: anyone with cream chow?
We recently got a cream boy (Toby), he is now 5 months old and absolutely fabulous - he has bonded well with our 10 year old female westie, they play well together and he follows her everywhere :D I will try to load some pictures but if not successful - basically he stays clean really well. He stays...

Re: Excremental extortion
Our 4 month old pup recently had to spend one night (two days) at the boarding kennels - on our return the owner greeted me with a worried expression and a strange request of "how often does Toby generally poop?" - my reply was "generally everytime he eats :) :) " !! It would see...

Puppy that barks through the night
I am new to the site but looking for a little help. I am the proud owner of a 13 week old puppy called Toby - he is adorable and absolutely wonderful during the day!! My problem is that he isn't happy at night - and barks and barks and barks. We already have a 9 year old westie and they share the ut...
