Re: 3 month old chow peeing everywhere!

It was already mentioned above but I'll repeat again based on my experience. You're giving your puppy too much room to start with. He can't decide what's outside and what's not. If you don't want to crate him - get a playpen http://img2.wfrcdn.com/lf/79/hash/9796/4101769/1/Easy+Dog+Exercise+Pen+in+B...

Re: Cant train to leash walk my dog.

@ 4 months don't forgot that he's just a puppy still so please don't expect from him to behave as an adult dog though it's important to start training already ofcourse. First question that comes to mind though.. often do you actually walk him ? If the puppy has too much energy he needs to get rid of...

Re: STAIRS + my gorgeous little Hugo

I noticed your point about letting him go up the stairs at 5 months and letting him come down at 6 months. Isn't that rather a long time to have a chow puppy waiting at the top of the stairs to come down again :!: LOL :!: or did you mean something else when hitting the keyboard :?: :?: You know wha...

Re: STAIRS + my gorgeous little Hugo

It was already mentioned but I'll say it again. Please Do Not let your puppy run up and down the stairs while he's so young. Carry him up and down for now even if he gets a bit heavy. Chow Chows are heavy boned dogs and the paw joins are not strong enough to handle the stairs or landing from chairs/...

Great indoors but doesn't listen outside

Hi guys. Well let me start off by saying that my dog's a 5 months pup. Possibly that's my answer that he's way too young to pay attention to me? He really does get distracted by everything when outside but still.. Umka is awesome and he's actually pretty trainable ( so far ) but only inside. Site, S...

Did you research Chow Chow before you got one ? :D
It's one of the most independent breeds out there. It's basically a cat with big teeth

Chow's personality

Hi to all Chow Chow fans. After months of research my wife and I narrowed it down to Chow Chow. We find that their independent personality will fit us really well. There is one big concern that we have that you guys may help me address. Or at least I hope you can. Most Chow Chow owners adore their d...
