Re: HELP PLEASE!!!
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I blocked them off from each other last night putting Bella in the bathroom with a baby gate and Mazzy in the kitchen with a baby gate. Low and behold when I got up this morning where was Bella? In the kitchen with Mazzy. She had jumped both gates to be with ...

HELP PLEASE!!!
HELP! I have 2 beautiful black female chows. They are sisters from the same litter. I bought them when they were 7 weeks old. At first we had an issue of food aggression which we still have. I have to separate them when they eat. And keep them apart for about an hour and even then they will sometime...

Re: HELP!
Thank you everyone for your suggestions! They have really helped a lot. I now feed both girls inside the house; make them sit, put there bowls of food down on the floor and then direct them each of them to their own separate bowl. Things have been going good for the last couple of days with this met...

I have 2- 5month old female chows, sisters of the same litter.I've had them both since they were 7 weeks old. They get along great for the most part. Here's my problem. Feeding time. When I first brought them home I feed them both in the kitchen in separate bowls. That worked great for a while. For ...

Mazzy & Bella
Haven't stopped by in a while so thought I would pop in. Mazzy and Bella are thriving. Health wise they are doing wonderful. Mazzy is still having a problem with people when they come over to the house with her barking, and growling at them. I am correcting her immediately and working with her on it...

Re: Question...
Thank you Victory. So when I have people come over and she starts growling and barking at them, I do correct her immediately with a firm, NO but she keeps at it. Should I take her out of the room or what should I do with her? Now last night my husband had a friend over. Both her and Bella growled an...

Re: Question...
Yeah I've been trying the treat trick. It takes a while for Mazzy to even get close to someone to get the treat and then she'll still run away. I'm hoping she will grow out of it, but her being a chow she may just carry that strong chow instinct and be a one person dog. I just don't want her to be m...

Re: Question...
Thank you for your advice. I usually do walk them on a leash. That day we had just come from the vet and they had just gotten shots so I was carrying her in. I try to walk them every night weather permitting

Re: Mama to Mazzy & Bella
Thank you Pam. It was very hard losing Sierra. I still miss her everyday. I had her cremated and she now sits atop our fireplace. It's funny because last night Mazzy stopped and sat down and looked right up at her urn. I wondered if Sierra was talking to her:) It's a comforting thought. And yes they...
