don't use seresto.. I think 2 of my chow chows got cancer from it. Mast cell and gastric lymphoma... may be a coincidence though. I have been using nexgard and get the lyme vaccine and after walks I do a blow out and pick sometimes 10 or more off them.

Chow chows don't like to poop anywhere near their living quarters..... they typically like to poop far away.. this is their natural instinct as when it comes to poop or pee, you will notice they try to get away from it. Don't you have a park or field close by that you can walk your chow chow?

My vet suggested plasma platelet therapy... anyone know about this. He has been doing well with cetyl m and doxy for 2 weeks..then out of the blue yesterday back to hobbling around and extremely lame. I have him on glucosamine, msm, omega... He can hardly get up and cries.. its killing me.

I really appreciate everyones responses to my post. I have been super depressed about this as I ADORE my chow chow and don't want to fear him. He is personality plus!!! We are off to the vet this morning so I will post what they find!

My chow is terrified of poo... he will walk way way around poo if he sees or smells it. just last week I thought he was going blind because he was walking close to the walls of the house on our porch and close to the walls in the kitchen and foyer... lol... the next day I had realized that I stepped...
