Re: Help Collars cause matting on my ChowI

Hi,

Here we walk Molly with a pectoral, not a regular collar. It's much more comfortable for her.

When she's home she wears no ID collar at all, but she doesn't go out by herself.

If you want I can take some pictures and share them here.

Re: Our now much bigger baby Molly

Wow... It's been years since I posted... Just thought I'd drop by to show everyone how Molly's doing. She has a baby brother who's been with us for two years. His name is Winston and the two are like peas in a pod. After he arrived she became 10x more playful. https://i.imgur.com/kheIxZk.jpg https:/...

Re: Our baby Molly

Hey everyone, I've been away for a long time, but between work, family (including Molly) and other stuff, online forums had to be axed. Anyway, here are some photos of Molly, all grown up! http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b519/FilipeDaniMartins1/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_9969286887861_zps8edznea8.jpeg...

Our now much bigger baby Molly

So after the poison attack, I believe I should let everyone see how Molly's doing. She's fully recovered, and back to her playful self. And here are some photos to both show you how she's doing, and how she's grown. Enjoy. Wifey and Molly getting ready to go out... She loves grooming, acts like she'...

Re: Poisoned

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for their support. I'm extremely happy to say that Molly is recovering extremely well, with no side effects so far. She started playing with her toys again today. Tomorrow I'm going to see if she's up for some outdoor exercise. Molly the Warrior Pup 1 - Poisonin...

Poisoned

Our Molly was given rat poison this morning. We always let her out on the yard early in the morning since it's fresh, so she can exercise and do her business. I let her out at 6am and around 7:30 she showed up in our room barely breathing and dripping with saliva, and collapsed at the foot of our be...

Re: How Bizarre!

Thanks sleepy for replying,I wonder if it is just dogs in Europe that are affected,I have never given tap water a second thought, though I must admit I cannot drink a lot of it, I generally go for bottled. Tell you what, tomorrow I'm calling my parents and I'll ask them if Cindy drank regular tap w...

Re: How Bizarre!

I've heard of that problem but on us humans, so I can see how it could affect our friends too. Here at home, just to be safe we use a carbomax filtering system, which we replace every 6 months. Our Molly only drinks the same water as us, never regular tap water. Here in Brazil it's common pratice to...

Re: Our baby Molly

Welcome to the forum. Let us know if you need anything. And, she really is adorable. Congrats on your pup. Thanks. I uploaded some more photos on the first post. After we took her off the purina dry food and started her on Pedigree, she's twice as lively and doesn't sleep as much, she's been playin...

Yeah it's a bit different, and from the photos I searched online, very few pups show the same, although I found some. As she grows I wonder how the coat color will develop.

Suggestion of food

So Molly didn't like the dry food the breeder recomended (Purina), she wouldn't touch the stuff, and so the next day I bought Pedigree Pal puppy line for her, and she loves it, thankfully, and is carefull to chew. However, after doing a bit of reading here at the forum, it seems that the pedigree br...

Re: Thor's ear infection HELP

Back when we had Cindy she had to be treated for an otitis after a trip to the beach (she loved to jump into the waves... Although she couldn't swim, go figure :P) The first two vets said "ear mites", but since we always checked her ears, we took her to yet another vet and finally found ou...

Cindy, protector and companion, a family member

I'd like to leave some photos of Cindy, my first Chow, who was so intelligent and sweet loving that everyone in our family thought of her as much more than a pet. My parents always trusted her to keep watch over me when I played outside the house, and even in her last years she kept the same loving ...

Our baby Molly

Hi everyone, I wasn't very sure on how to start in this forum, but hey, it's a "chow forum", so the best way should be to share some photos of me and my wife's baby, Molly. When I was little our family had a pure black Chow named Cindy, who died of natural causes at age 14. I absolutely fe...
