Re: Im curious

Wolfie wasn’t all that excited to move to our new two-story home 3 years ago. He visited it when it was empty and just wanted to leave, however once all of our stuff was in it, he was able to relax. Gotta tell you, that fist night in the new place we decided that he should sleep on the huge deck out...

Re: Playing indoors

When Wolfie was younger we would also play "hide and seek". He was terrible at it, however I don't understand why. I would be hiding behind a bedroom door when he would come in look all around, leave and enter another room. I mean he was just a few inches from me, yet he could not smell me...

They are all so cute. Funny how just one of them (cream) resembles the father. He/she would be fairly easy to spot. Wolfie and I are indeed jealous that the mother looks so well groomed.

Re: Question about breeding !

From what I understand your dog should stay with the stud dog's owner for a week or two. When she comes home, you should get some paperwork with her from the stud dog's owner, including a contract, copies of the stud dog's health clearances, the stud dog's pedigree, and information on when she was b...

I am assuming that when you first moved in you did not yet own Coco? Are there any other residents in the apartment who also own dogs? If so, how do they get along with the poodle?

Kiwani In recent months, a lot of your posts have been about stress and extreme frustration revolving around Wolfie's canine dementia and advancing arthritis, plus your fears that a vet visit would result in hearing advice to have Wolfie euthanized, because your husband wouldn't agree to any hip sur...

TJordan I think that all of this really has less to do with the chow than it does resentment towards a husband. It's a shame really. With all due respect, I blame absoutely NO ONE for my actions other than myself. If -- as you say -- I do resent my husband, than I would definitely take it out on him...

When I left Miami 25+ years ago, there was no way that I was going to leave my dog behind either. I Plead Temporary Insanity Last Night

OK, I know that I am running the risk here of being verbally “beaten up” and/or having the SPCA called, but I don’t care. Last night I was livid, this morning I am just still really mad. There once was this girl who had a curl right in the middle of her forehead and when she was good she was really,...

My husband gives Zoe a couple of Greenies every morning. I am not sure what is in them, however they are shaped like little green dog bones and are for breath and teeth. Fortunately she likes them. Wolfie, who could really benefit from them, doesn't like them!

Whenever Wolfie gets mats anywhere, I will usually just cut them out. It saves a lot of time, and as he is so hairy, you can't tell the difference anyhow. But yes, behind the ears is a particularly bad place for them, although I am not sure why. I have also noticed that the hair there is different f...

This is Really Kind of Creepy!!!!!!

This really is kind of creepy, as I recently posted a question on the topic of how I would be able to get Wolfie into my SUV in the event that something drastic happened to him. Right now, getting him into my truck would be possible, as he is able to stand. I have no problem lifting 65 lbs. of “Stan...

How could I lift Wolfie into my SUV

Since Wolfie is getting up there in age (10), it has occurred to me that if something happened to him and he had to get to the vet ASAP, how would I get him in my SUV. There is no way that I could lift him by myself. (He weighs 65 lbs.)

Any ideas?

Wolfie goes absolutely crazy whenever he either sees/smells a horse. Once when we were in the car, he started whining, jumping from the cargo area to the back seat then back and forth, trying to get out of the window, that at this point was only down a few inches. I knew that there must be a horse n...

OMG, $4,000?. Does that include the price you paid for her? Have you purchased any pet insurance for her? If not, you probably should. It most likely would be beneficial in the long run. Two days after I bought Wolfie, I took him to the vet. Doctor said that he would probably need entropion surgery ...

Wolfies' and Zoes' all time favorite is Velvetta cheese. Next is teriyaki pork tenderloin roast, followed closely by stuffed (cheese) shells or lasagna.
