Re: your chow's best toy??
My 1 1/2 year old male chow, Buddy2, has no use for balls or fetch with me but does throw his stuffed toys up in the air with a twist of his head & will fetch those to re-throw & fetch again. If he is outside doing this, zooming follows. HAHA! My boy Moko does this exact same thing but with...

Re: Does anyones Chow do this??
Lol so Cute, Our boy does something similar. When we've been out for a while, we walk through the front door and he goes wild for a little bit. gets a few fusses, and then runs off and grabs something. This could be one of his toys, a slipper, anything he can fit in his mouth. We refer to them as we...

Looking for a new Kibble Brand and came across this
Morning All, Moko has seemed to of become bored with his food. Until now, his adult diet has consisted of a Burns (Chiken/Fish or Lamb) variety, to which we will add on occasion, canned fish/veg/cottage cheese. He doesn't seem that fussed recently and i started looking into a potential new kibble to...

Does your Chow do this? (vid)
We've noticed recently our Boy Mokoto has taken to doing a little dance just before he lies down. I've seen it in dogs before where they circle around on the spot before lying down. When Moko does it though it's almost like he's plumping the spot to make it comfy. Never fails to make me giggle. http...

Re: my female is humping me??
Thanks guys :) I had a read at that link thank you so much! I think it must be her hormones, she has been very affectionate from she came on heat! After she had dinner tonight (my partner served it to her) she came running into the living room and began thanking me by licking me and wagging her tai...

Re: What kind of Dog food do you use? / skin problems
Hi Drogo, Hopefully i'm not to late to contribute here. I found this while doing some research for myself on a new food for Mo, Albeit it's not tailor made for Chow Chows, it does give you a somewhat detailed look into the ingreidients (in most cases) of alot of the dry kibble food available on the ...

Changes in a stud
Hi Chows and Chowettes, Just a quick question i've not managed to find much information on. i've been told with most dogs used for studding, that once they have mated for the first time you will notice a change in attitude in them towards other dogs whom they will then see as a threat to their matin...
