My chows wiggle the same way. Especially the one with a stub for a tail. Truffles, we calls those loops "zoomies". They all do them and what fun they are. Chows are definately unique.

I never have had a problem with leaving them alone as long as you spend good quality time with them when you are there.

If one or both of my chows aren't always following me around ... that is strange behaviour. She just loves you and probably wants to go for a walk after being denied her daily outings. Mine do that also, and talk up a storm. Just one of their lovely traits! That's my two cents.
