Re: Please don't judge me
This is the part about not being a dog that really sucks. They don't have to think about these things. We do. And we twist them all up inside of ourselves until we finally break. You did the only thing you could do to help your dog, I would, in a heartbeat, do the same for my old lady. I have had he...

Re: New member with a question :)
He's a cutie for sure. Try to make as much time right now to keep him with his littermate as possible. This is the time where they learn how hard to bite and not, by the siblings and parents. My advice is when he tries to chew/bite on you, make a high pitched squeal and pull you hand back. He will g...

Re: Our first few days with Sunshine
I never had to crate train or potty train Kaycee. We got her at 6 wks and she never once went in the house. From the first day. She also is never on a leash unless we have to go somewhere that would require it. She has always stayed within a 3 ft radius of me. For 13 years it's been that way. I love...

Re: What is wrong with my dog's ears/tail?
Well, we finally got into the vet. He says it's a bacterial infection brought on by the stress of having the ear infection. He put her on antibiotics and back on the Deramaxx for her hips. He said in two weeks she should be good as new. I sure hope so. Thanks everyone for the ideas and help! :D

Re: What is wrong with my dog's ears/tail?
Vet said the same thing he said the last time I took her in, he has no idea what it is on her head/ears. Anyone have this same issue with their chow? She started with an ear infection a month ago, with ridges on her head, while treated for the ear infection the ridges also went away. Ears are now cl...

Re: What is wrong with my dog's ears/tail?
I was just digging around scratching her head and noticed that the ridges in her head have little pimple like bumps on them. Scabs are mostly gone. I'm gonna call the vet.

Re: What is wrong with my dog's ears/tail?
I've been feeding all of my dogs(1 chow, 1 chow mix, 1 sharpei[foster who is up for adoption] and 1 shep mix) Exceed from Sam's club. Was feeding them chicken now switched to lamb and rice. I have always given them some kind of chicken or lamb mix of food, sometimes with scrambled eggs and cheese. H...

What is wrong with my dog's ears/tail?
Hi all, New member here. I've had chows for 15 years now, and one old lady in particular for 13 years. Kaycee is a cream female, spayed, and she has many issues. They've just all come about in the last month. I've had her since she was 5 weeks, she was spayed at 1yo. This dog is my best friend and I...
