Re: security issues?

Yikes! Two years? Time is just whipping past me, how depressing! I got one of those "from me to me" emails come to think of it. Really pi$$es me off to think there are companies out there that would use my friend's names (and my name, the effrontery!) to try to sell me *Censored Word*. Boy...

Re: security issues?

It was private email, the first one was actually from you, but that was months ago. Could be the other person was on your email list, in fact that is probably the case. Agh, I hate technology sometimes. Not related, but I also got a phantom reply notification from an ancient topic that had no reply,...

security issues?

Hi, I've recently had an email from a member that was actually spam from a Canadian Pharmacy, so I'm guessing her account was hacked. I was told by another member that her account had been hacked several months ago, and to not open any mail from one of her accounts. Is there a possibility that our p...

Audrey, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet, paisley tongued lamb. She was a lucky girl to have such a great mom and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you, although I know they come a little late.

Re: My $'s worth

Ok, well, I haven't been here for a while, but I have other responsibilities and interests beyond the chow world (I know, shocking). I don't spend much of my free time here anymore either, Sharon. It's more stressful and annoying than entertaining. I've been catching up, though, and it looks like th...

A gentle spirit has left the earth

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i199/Sophiebelle/chowchowforum/bbgrass2.jpg We knew her as Lakota, but her forever name became Brandibear. In a way she belonged to all of us, she touched so many lives and so many were invested in her welfare. So many people on this forum helped, offered their hel...

Part of the problem, as I see it, is that people have been excusing some of the behaviors as 'personality'. ...and how bitterly do I regret saying this: Usually, I hate it when people argue on this board, but when Jeff and Red Dragon start swapping insults, well, I make popcorn for that. Re: Poor chow at the pound :(

If you read carefully, you will see that the chow already has a home, if only the shelter will release him to Olga. Is there some way you can help with this, Sam? :?

Print this out and take it with you to the shelter, there is even a hotline number that they can call for help evaluating a chow's temperament.

Glad to hear you are OK too, Nita. :D Vic, tell DH we rarely even have snow anymore, if we get one good one per season it's a miracle. Also, plenty of deer to shoot IF HE MUST, and quite a few wild turkeys in my mom's backyard that she'd be willing to sacrifice for a good cause. Listen to reason Vic...

Re: Wolfie bit me and I still can't believe it

Why is it that you two can't get along?...and if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. Usually, I hate it when people argue on this board, but when Jeff and Red Dragon start swapping insults, well, I make popcorn for that. Laura's right, it means nothing, and they enjoy it. I think...

Does Annie do anything like this?

Pardon BB's sad appearance here. This is the day we picked her up from the owner, she's much cuter now.

Ditto, try the active culture yogurt first. If he's ok with that, it may be the inert ingredients in the capsules that he's reacting to.

Re: Possibly Blind?

We thought a chow we were fostering was partially blind, but it turns out she was just extremely farsighted. She could see a squirrel clear across an acre wide field, but she had to nudge around with her nose to find her food dish. Maybe that's Annie's problem, too.

This is so tragic, so sad. Far too few like Sherre in this world. One can only hope that where she has fallen, one hundred will rise up.
I'm so sorry for your personal loss, India's Momma, she must have been a great friend.

Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss, but so happy that you gave Dandy a second chance and a happy home. =D= You know, rumour has it that your son is quite the hotshot filmmaker. Re: What happened to "Lumpy"?

I noticed that Officer Pentangelo was the ASPCA spokesman on this case... if I remember correctly (and that in itself would be a miracle), he owns a black (rescue?) chow named "Pickles". That sort of brings things full circle, chow-wise. Can't believe Mr. Joudan got off scot free, but I'll...

Re: Question: Happy Shiver?

Yeh, Sophie does the tsunami wave/haw haw dance combo. I knew a shi-tzu that would wriggle and chatter his teeth when happy, not quite what I'd call trembling with joy, tho. Well, the shiver may not be particular to chows, then.

Question: Happy Shiver?

Hi, I have a question from Linda, the fabulous lady who adopted lovely Lakota, now known as Brandibear. Both BB and Kubbi (her other chowkid) have a tendency to tremble with happiness or excitement from time to time. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I have to say no, but Sophie has never...
