Re: I am heart broken
It is entropian, and I am just heart broken cause all this time the vet said it was nothing more than over active tears, and she must have been in so much pain these last few months. Thanks

I am heart broken
I really am not in the mood for I told you so. So if there is nothing nice anyone has to say, then please don't respond. I just need to voice it, that I took Shelby to her follow up for her eyes last night, and she does in fact need the surgery on both eyes. The good thing is that while their doing ...

That clever Sully!! Shelby won't even push the door open to get back in the house. The door was open three inches and all she did was stand there until I opened it to let her in.

Just Groomed
Shelby had a bad experiance once before with a groomer when she was three months old. So I had serched this time for someone that was a bit more experianced with Chows. This is the outcome. Re: Three more days
I will post plenty of pictures. He will be six weeks old. I have already made an appointment with my vet to see him. My husband will be driving to the breeders Saturday morning to get him. I'm going to post newly groomed Shleby pictures today. Very soon in fact.
Thanks for all the well wishes.

I know some of you voiced concerns about taking Jackson too early, and I did ask if she would keep him longer, but the answer was no. I'm not goning toargue with her on it. I am just going to be excited that my new chowling is comming home. He already knows his name and is the best of the 12 to come...

Re: New Baby
Congrats on your new baby and welcome! We love pictures!...lol. When I got my Shelby, my kids wouldn't let her stay in the crate either, so for the first couple of days I just held her while she slept and put her in the crate at night. Good luck!

I like all the colors, but cream and red are my favorite.
Re: The Crate
I was not real clear a to how often she is in the crate. Shelby gets let out in the morning, and unless we leave the house does not go back in it until 10pm. She has had no accidents in the house during the day, and will always ring her bell when she needs the door opened for her. I'm just wondering...

Sorry for your loss, and congrats on your new furkid!
The Crate
I have been wondering how long is too long to keep Shelby in her crate. She has been accident free, during the day, for two months now. She is almost seven months old. I realize she will have to be in it for a little while longer, but how long is too long?

Shelby is still in her crate. Haven't given her the chance to sleep anywere else, and she can't reach my boxspring, let alone the top of my bed.

I think I would go t the humane society and then use some of the $450 I saved for the annual check-ups. Again that just me.

Beatuiful pics. I love the clothes. I just got a sticker that says, "Warning ... Chow with Additude. I can make it to the door in 1.8 seconds, can you?", I would love to put it on a shirt.

Action Jackson
I went to see Jackson Monday, and took a couple pictures. The first one was with my phone so the color is off, but the second one shows him right. He is the first of twelve to open his eyes, and the first to try to escape. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v29/shannlee379/2008_0623Image0002-1.jpg ht...

Re: Does your Chow sleep on the bed with you?
Well, Shelby is currently in her grate at night and when we are not home. The reason why she doesn't get on our bed is because it's just too damn tall. Instead of getting a low profile boxspring, my husband got the regular one (he picked out the whole set). So we can barly get on it....lol.

Get to know your Fellow CC.org members
Since I felt that I was being unfairly judged, and the fact that know one here really knows anything about me, nor do I of anyone else. I began to think there are newer members than I who do not know anything about anyone on here. My name is Shannon Thomas. I am 29 years old, and my husband (Stan) a...

Sorry Laura, in my over heated moment I forgot there are two on the site. I appreciate all your kind words and congrats. Back on topic: When I was growing up, the only way we got a dog was if it was listed in the paper for sale. My father still goes to pet stores and recently got a beagle puppy. To ...

Re: Rescue Chows vs Breeder Chows
Not every dog purchased from a 'bad' breeder has health issues and not every dog purchased from a 'wonderful' breeder escapes them. I might be on here in 6 mos crying because Shug or Chloe have hip displasia or entropian but that is a risk I knew I was taking when I bought a CHOW. Edited by poster:...

Re: New Chowlings .... 4 days old
Let's just all agree to disagree. Shannlee 379 has made it clear she will buy a pup from this breeder, no matter what anybody else more experienced with this "breeder" says. A few months from now, even a year or two from now, when Shelby, and surely the new pup to follow, begin to exhibit...
