It sounds like you have a wonderful new boy! I'm so glad you got him out of the shelter. Our girl, Molly came from a rescue when she was 2 or 3 yrs. old. I'd love to see pictures of him!
I'm glad to hear Bramble is doing well. I haven't been on for a long time because of my husband's lung cancer and our house being flooded in Sept. I'm using my son's laptop, as we don't have a computer yet. Best wishes to all of you!!
I remember you, too! It's been awhile. I have been away a lot, too. My husband has lung cancer, and the whole summer has been spent going to the hospital for treatments/appointments. It's great to hear from you!
What a wonderful long life your Lexi had! I know it hurts terribly, and like everyone has said, the hurt will lessen as time goes by, and you will remember all the good times and love you shared. Godspeed, dearest Lexi...
I don't know what to tell you. Chows have a very stubborn streak when they are outside. I never trust Molly to be off-leash because of Bear (our first chowmix). He never listened when there was something he wanted to do. Very stubborn are chows! I'm glad everything turned out alright though!
Best wishes to Koda. What a scary thing! My vet usually puts the cone on and told me if they leave it alone, they could probably have it off. If they seem to want to bother the incision, keep it on. If you're not home would also be a good time to put the cone on.
Our chowmix Bear, had lymphoma. He was almost 14, so we chose to go with the Pred. Our vet said it wasn't a painful kind of cancer and the prednisone helped for awhile. He was diagnosed in Nov. and we had to put him to sleep on Dec. 15. I wish you the best...it's very hard.
