Your way seems good to me. :D
It won't be easy to find a very quiet place where I live...
I hope my vet let me do it as well.

Dear all, I apologize if it has been asked before, but as I couln't find the answer to my question in the previous posts... here it is: How does the potty training goes when you live in an appartement? I mean, when the puppy comes to the house, she's 8 weeks old, and as vaccinations are not complete...

I think we're going to go with the harness. My chow Coco will not be fully protected by her vaccines until she'll be 3 months or 3.5 months old I think ( I still have to clarify that point with a vet), so we won't be abble to walk her on the streets and parks I believe the first weeks she'll be with...

Hello Louis, congratulation for your new chow chow! I am sorry to hear he's sick, and like the others, I would suggest taking the poor thing to a vet asap... I see that you live in France as well, which part? Let me know if you need help with the language, but I'm sure you can probably easily find a...

By the way, what do you mean by "the first 2 weeks are a killer"? I don't mind getting busy with the puppy because I don't work and I will surely love taking care of her, but what should I expect exactly?

Thanks to you all. My chow should be red or fawn as both parents are honey colour. Maybe cream... I'll take what will come out! I didn't know raising the bowls could link to gastric torsion... I also thought moistening the food could help a puppy to eat his food. I still have a lot to learn about ch...

Thanks for the advice! The breeder is giving them Purina Pro Plan Salmon & Rice, so I guess I'll use that for a start. But I've seen on the forum that some would recommend a more organic kind of food... Anyway, do you think the bowl needs to be a bit high, like 5 inches, from the floor? I've hea...

How to welcome a chow puppy?

Dear all, this december, we will be proud parents of a 8 weeks chow chow puppy. We are very excited about it and can't wait... My question is: what do you think we should buy for the little chow, what should we have at home for her (it will be a girl)? FYI we live in a large apartment, we are a coup...
