You got me wrong. I don't want him to be aggressive and bark all the time.
I just want him to be able to defend himself when needed.
He loves being with other dogs and to play. It just breaks my heart when he gets bullied. When he gets growled at, he'll sit on his own and watch other dogs play.

Hi. With my experience, Roscoe's coat filled out like a "bolero" jacket (till just behind the front legs), then the rest followed.

It's normal. My Roscoe used to wake me up at 2 and 4 am to take him outside so he can listen to traffic! Go figure!!

I put golf balls in the bowl when my chow did that and seemed to do the trick. There are also "slow feeder" bowls available in the market which might help.

Hi! My roscoe (yearling) drinks from a bottle with a spout i got from the pet shop. its got a metal ball in the end. it keeps him quite dry. if he drinks from a bowl, he''ll spread the water on the floor with his paws and lays on it. Besides, the bottle stops him from drinking too much too quickly.

That's just precious!
I just love the way chows won't move. Only the eyeballs do!
