I e-mailed Ron and Pam and gave them my mom's telephone number. She actually met Shy at the shelter back in June and will have more information. She's also willing to help in a more extensive search if a group can be formed. She's gone out there a few times and called for her but never saw any sign ...

Your post is heartbreaking and I know the pain you are feeling. Having lost Tara just a few short weeks ago, the pain is still there for me too.

My mother informed the shelter that if she is turned in by someone that found her or if they pick her up that she wants to be notified. She may have to stay the five holding days but my mom said she will get her out as soon as they release her. If she can be found, she should be safe!

I should add that I am interested in adopting her!!! She also has rescue willing to take her if I'm unable to get out there.

I really miss my Tara and believe Shy might just be what we need right now.

Her name was simply Shy at the shelter. They believe she is in the wooded area behind Wal-Mart and should be dragging around the leash she was wearing unless it broke off (would be ideal since the leash catching on something could be deadly).
