Re: Barking

Thank you Jacqui. The stomach problems reappeared recently and she was in a bit of a mess...probably never recovered from them a few months ago. I can't imagine her being afraid of people, it's almost like she has just become very territorial..wherever I decide to take her..weird.

Barking

Greetings from Madrid everyone. You have helped me before when I took on Pucca a couple of years ago. Well now she is with me pretty much full time and we are getting along fine. My current worry is that during the last few weeks she has taken to barking quite aggressively at strangers when we are s...

Does anyone have an opinion on the Pedigree chew treats? I usually give Puka a dentastick in the morning and 2 or 3 schmackos throughout the day. I seem to remember someone telling me that they weren't the best things to give dogs but she is fussy and wont touch more 'healthy' options. She loves pig...

Puka eats Hill's Science Plan... to be honest I don't think that she likes it a great deal but will clear the bowl when hungry. The vet here says it is one of the best. Occasionally I will give her a tin of Pedigree Chum gourmet food that looks good enough to eat myself..she adores it but this only ...

Much, much better thank you :D She is still on the Hill's special diet food and taking tablets for any stomach acid but is back to her old self. We've just been on a long walk in the Retiro park here in Madrid and if she hasn't quite regained her full energy she is getting there. I'm dreading the da...

Just got back from the vets. They gave her a very thorough examination and x rays. No blockage thank goodness but severe inflamation in the stomach.. a gastric problem. She was given an injection and is now on a severe diet of special food that I can give her in small amounts starting tomorrow every...

Hi Jacqui, She is almost 5 and her stools are just fine. She is not really mine but I tend to look after her most of the time as her owner is on tour a great deal and she is better off living here with me.. I have no complaints about that :D Will let you know what vet says.

It has been suggested by a friend that it could well be a blockage which sounds logical... I really don't know the first thing about dogs other than that I am extremely fond of this amazing creature. The vet will be visited this afternoon.

Very poorly ... any thoughts greatly appreciated

The chow chow that lives with me is very sick. I shall take her to the vets this afternoon. She can't keep anything down and even tho she hasn't digested anything for 4 days still can't even keep water down.. it comes straight up. (At first I put it down to her being on heat) She is fed well on good...

Very many thanks for your kind replies. Her pupils do not dilate when she has this tremor and she is not at all disorientated during or after them. I can set off the tremor quite easily by stroking her between her upper thigh and body..she does this herself when having a scratch. I definately have n...

Hip/back legs problems

Hello everyone. I am taking care of a friends ChowChow and she has recently developed problems with her hind legs. She limps slightly and when I brush her back there it sets off a nervous reaction and one ot the other legs starts to rapidly jiggle about. She will do this voluntarily as well. She see...
