Re: Help!!

Thanks everyone.

I took him to the vet and they provided me with some antibiotics. The Dr. could not said for sure that it was mange since she only did one skin scraping. She did take a sample of his hair to get tested. Waiting on the results from the lab.

Re: Chow Bottom Cut

My husband cuts my baby's hair around his butt when I ask him to so his poop does not get trap in the hairs. It is a two person job. I would be in front of him petting him while my husband cuts this butt hair. When we first did it, it look really bad. After a few tries, he got better at it.

Re: I take it back

I usually brush my baby after a long walk or after any thing that will exhaust his energy. Then I would get him to lie down and take out the brushing. I would first rub him and at the same time try to get to go on his side where I can access his belly. If it is a long brushing, I would get him a rub...

Re: Shampoo and Conditioner

I used to feed him Pedigree than I changed it to Naturo. I noticed a little less scratching than usual after I changed his food. For the shampoo, I am currently using Gold Medal Pets Dog Shampoo – Long Hair. I am looking to change it and look for something that will help improve his skin and coat. T...

Shampoo and Conditioner

Can anyone please recommend a good shampoo and conditioner? I am looking for something that will not dry out their skin. Last April I adopted a 5 year old male Chow from the shelter. My husband and I both agreed that if he does not get along with our cat, we will have to return the Chow to the shelter. When we got the Chow home, he went straight for the cat. It was not fun. We had to separate them. We started by putti...

Help with Chow and Cat...

Wollfie,

Can you please provide an update as to how your cat, Riley, is doing with Zoe?

I recently adopted a 5 year old Chow Chow and he is not getting along with the cat. I tried twice to introduce them, but each time the dog would attack the cat.

Thanks,
Lisa
